Depend on what u want lo. But tis upgrade is a big jump compare to ur original system ady

my findings with underseat sub, its like opium
it can injects ice poison/bites its master head sooner than sub will properly burn in
someone i know change from underseat sub to a real sub just after a month

for bout the same price one can buy a 2channel jvc/pioneer amp (~rm300)
150W bridged mono
a sony/pioneer 10" sub (~rm200)
the sub box can get something like this

the premade fibreglass sub box might be debatable by purists
but even custom made box designed not follow its sub TS parameter most times

this setup will has more power, more spl, more bass, play lower too, and only take minimal boot space (sub amp put under the seat)

or

Hertz...ev165l as woofer and ecx100 coax speaker with cx200 crossover...so I dun have to mod any thing to my ride...

front speaker start from rm180, although not very branded but it's better than some A_pine branded. active sub rm400++ can get steelmate.....

I cut open my door just 2 day received my new myvi in 2008 to install the component speaker as below. My cap ayam set up i use until today still sound good. To me lah.....

6.5" component (Total Mobile Audio by JL audio i think)
Sony 2-channel 1800w amp
Autocraft 600w 2-channel amp (cap ayam but something better than nothing)
Sony 10" subwoofer.
Pioneer DEH-7950 head unit.

Im using new myvi se 1.3 s series
Last week i go to accessories shop at Jalan Cheras to buy active subwoofer
So im buying mbq 8 inch aw-800 (not remember the model)
Installation has been made by toke kedai..
The problem is when im increase my volume up to 18 and above, my active sub
will making sound like no enough power to make the beat.Bunyi bass like sangkut2..Not pecah sound
I think that active sub broken so im want to claim warranty to that shop.
But the tokey kedai said to me yg 8inch mmg x enough power punye n must changr to 10inch la.
N if i want to claim warranty, he will sent that woofer to kilang n will take 2 month to repair it..
So please someone guide me..

u need to find someone who can really tune the sub well..and it will make ur sound improve....

Active sub who also can sell..but when it come to tuning, it required skill..try other tuner and maybe u will meet a good 1...

i satisfied the setup by Mr.Howie too..all sounds come from front,thumb up !! a 4" speaker upgrade plus an active sub is very big upgrade over OEM. and i think i would like to update it as soon as i can..LOL
