QUOTE(G K Lai @ May 23 2012, 02:25 AM)
When I open the glove box in the test drive unit, it open gradually (slow motion).
But why is my car's glove box simply open without any support (drop down fast)?
Did Proton removed this to solve the "hard to close" problem people was complaining?  cry.gif
*
how about the "secret" compartment at the driver's side? they still using the same mechanism?

Good morning!!
I didn't notice any different, but actuall this compartment not so convenient because if your key has keychain, you will have to lift up your keychain when you want to close it. Maybe too close to the key hole.
*
happy morning to you too blush.gif

hmm.gif so no changes to the latching mechanism, last time i molest it, need to align properly to have it close.
hope the latch can tahan, it made of plastic, hmm they could use better mechanism.

it was meant to be a secret compartment, but actually not that really hidden lor.

QUOTE(G K Lai @ May 23 2012, 10:36 AM)
Just notice a "rod" with a yellow head hidden beside the glovebox when I open it in broad daylight minutes ago. Then I pull out the stopper at both sides to make it fully open. Then I see there really a "rod"! Only realized that rod is made of plastic and look like an absorber, it should be the one that slow down the glovebox motion. I push the hole to the pin, now my glovebox has slo-mo again!

The installer forgot to install this small thing lar....!

BTW, this rod also can limit how large the glovebox you want to open. It has many level of holes you can mate with the pin.

Now using mobile phone can't upload pic...
*
nice finding...now we know can be adjusted haahhaa.

the slow motion is ok for the glove box, it is when closing it.

does it still need to hold the handle to close the glove box?

Yes, i can said that my Sales Advisor & His Branch Manager help me a lots and willing to borrow me their Pesona Test Drive car even i am not asking for it, i told them i have a problem to work without a transport....

Really need to thumb up for them thumbup.gif

The service advisor also good, even my wife car BLM does not service at their service centre, they manage to get the claims for the car to replace a new TCU cost RM3.4K from the Proton Extended Warranty Program. Another thumb up for them also  thumbup.gif .

What i not happy is, i got a new car with engine probs.... vmad.gif
I can say, i should blame the Production Team due to not QC the car before delivery to their customer.
*
you should highlight this to proton via all their channels.

why on earth they never QC before deliver.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ May 23 2012, 06:54 PM)
some problems doesn't show up the moment after the whole thing passed the assembly line.
*
their mentality "nah no need to check should be ok, if got problem let them come back service"

generally, vendor provide parts, proton should do QC on those parts upon receive, then assembly line should install those parts correctly as per SOP.
then before deliver should cross check again.

so not even proton got problem with QC, as long as malaysian worker still have that mentality, no matter what car brand, as long as assemble here, always got problem.

how to compete internationally?
they wasted valuable resources.

are u staying same area as me? everyday i need pass thru 20+ bumps ONE WAY. so if i use the same road to go work and go home, around 50 bumps. got uphill, downhill, uphill with bump, downhill with bump..
doh.gif
*
your area too many bumps lol. mine is about 10. those humps need to slow down, coz its thicker and bigger. sweat.gif

then my fc will be better than yours rclxms.gif
go downhill no problem for me, as i will use the other route when go work. but this route is steeper going downhill.
come back have to use this one with humps, coz not as steep as the other one.

Another story to tell. I did my insurance on my own yesterday and I notice something. I hear some of you have issue where the car chassis number is given to you but then no get the car...

It seems that just with the chassis number you can already proceed with the insurance registration. From there it will generate copy note for the e-hakmilik. Then i pass it to my SA for registration.

So I was thinking. Once get the chassis number already can register the car to avoid it kena take by other ppl lo if like this?
*
oh you buy it yourself? i will do the same also to get 10% discount.
isn't wait till your car arrive at showroom, then buy insurance?
can share the chronology of events?

then you have to inform your SA that you already buy insurance using that chassis number.

bro,

can share how you buy the insurance yourself? buy in insurance company office or agent? which one we entitle the 10% discount? sweat.gif
*
i have never buy on my own.
i read somewhere that, if you buy directly from insurance company, u get 10% off, coz agent earn that 10% comm.
my old car in hometown already sold early this year, and i entitle to ncd 30%.
so i must buy car within 1year to use that ncd 30%. coz they said valid 1yr only.

motortakaful offer 10% discount if buy online. but i don't know whether can be apply for new car insurance or just renewal only.

if i dont want hassle, just let SA do it. after 1st year, then renew with etiqa to get extra 10% off.

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ May 24 2012, 04:41 PM)
1 thing to add.

Saw in the FB few days ago that some of the brother there have a wooly-kind-of seat after few weeks.. He however managed to get the whole seat replaced by proton (Good for him)

It just triggers me that I did have a look for a  3rd/4th/ or 6th time oredy I forgot at the seat. I suddenly remembered that my SA told me its the same material they used for Honda seat. Plus tthat kind of seat cover is also damn expensive if ppl want to have it installed outside. Can anyone confirm this? What do you guys think?
*
the seat is water repellent fabric, but how become wooly?

QUOTE(kiapreve @ May 24 2012, 04:45 PM)
Ya, Malaysia road easily to get flood during the rainy day now...
Kajang & Jln Tun Razak is one of the example
*
jln ampang, jln yap kwan seng also. mrr2 also.

QUOTE(jianjin1985 @ May 24 2012, 04:46 PM)
why? will it damage the interior colour of the dashboard?
*
other than color fade, plastic parts will degrade, and many more.

QUOTE(Gigabit @ May 24 2012, 04:47 PM)
The owner is confident because the car has Sierra Glow brows.gif

However, i read somewhere that it is better to leave the wipers as it is without having to lift it up. On longer term, the wiper spring will lose its tension and will cause uneven wiping.
*
got difference lift up wiper? to me i wont lift up.
