last time we have merc guy convert to preve...now H Accord owner turn to preve.....2nd car?
Nope, replacing my Accord (SM4). My car is old although still reliable and comfortable. But todays technology and NVH are better. Preve looks to have good equipment & technology. I like the CFE and CVT, and the ability to cruise at 110 kph at ~2500 RPM (read it in this forum). Proton reliability? Proton seems to become more reliable nowadays, judging from friends' and colleagues' experiences. From my research Preve fits my needs well.
My requirements:
1. Quiet
2. 2.0 level performance
3. Good handling
4. Airbags
5. ABS
6. At least 5AT or CVT (no 4AT or manual. Once you spend 2 hours crawling on MRR2 on Friday evening you'd be glad to have auto)
7. Good reliability and parts availability
My father drives iVTEC Accord (5AT) and my brother drives VTEC City (CVT). I was looking at Preve, 2nd hand iVTEC Accord or new Honda City. Do not like the City (small and handling not so good). About 2nd hand Accord, my father recommended against it as a new car (Preve) would be a better choice. We've looked at the Preve in the showroom and satisfied (for the price). Now just waiting to test drive.
CVT aerolane sound? Yep the City has it but as more and more km is run the noise become less audible.
So that's how I came to be *very* interested in the Preve.
