I'd like to ask for your opinion. I'm interested in booking Preve CFE I expect to get the car AFTER Raya. Which is better?

1. Book at Proton Edar KESAS.
2. Book at Proton Edar Glenmarie
3. Book at Proton Edar branch in other states (such as Kedah)

What is your opinion on this matter?

TQ

bro, dun worry at least there significant increase of mileage instead the same RM (+16%) you spend. If you fill
up RM 75..is about 40 liter of petrol in the tank. Preve tank capacity is 50 liter. So....with 40 liter petrol
you can get 355 km...and your average fuel consumption (AFC) is 11.11 liter/100km.... hmm.gif
preve has turbo rite? is turbo make your car more fuel save or more fuel consume?.... hmm.gif ....
for me if you can get 10 liter/100km in town driving, i would be satisfy  blush.gif

I was made to understand that CFE should save fuel. I'm driving 2.0 Accord (Fuel Injected non VTEC) and I get 9-11 L/100km. Average 10.4 L/100km (3 yrs data, 86,543 km). However I am using fully synthetic 5W40. When I switched from mineral 20W50 to fully synthetic I got massive improvement in FC and feel of the engine.

Maybe engine oil is the reason some are getting high FC. Could also be your right foot or simply the engine is still very new. Oh BTW, 2.0 performance would mean 2.0 level FC. There is only so much energy you can extract from a litre of fuel. More power, more fuel.

I'm gonna test drive Preve this weekend or next week. If I am satisfied I will book one.

After reading the V8 and V9 threads I do not see any reason why I should not.

Nope, replacing my Accord (SM4). My car is old although still reliable and comfortable. But todays technology and NVH are better. Preve looks to have good equipment & technology. I like the CFE and CVT, and the ability to cruise at 110 kph at ~2500 RPM (read it in this forum). Proton reliability? Proton seems to become more reliable nowadays, judging from friends' and colleagues' experiences. From my research Preve fits my needs well.

My requirements:
1. Quiet
2. 2.0 level performance
3. Good handling
4. Airbags
5. ABS
6. At least 5AT or CVT (no 4AT or manual. Once you spend 2 hours crawling on MRR2 on Friday evening you'd be glad to have auto)
7. Good reliability and parts availability

My father drives iVTEC Accord (5AT) and my brother drives VTEC City (CVT). I was looking at Preve, 2nd hand iVTEC Accord or new Honda City. Do not like the City (small and handling not so good). About 2nd hand Accord, my father recommended against it as a new car (Preve) would be a better choice. We've looked at the Preve in the showroom and satisfied (for the price). Now just waiting to test drive.

CVT aerolane sound? Yep the City has it but as more and more km is run the noise become less audible.

So that's how I came to be *very* interested in the Preve.

Well, I did it. Went to PE Kesas, test drove the Preve and booked CFE version.

Colour choice: Gold, Silver, Blue... in that order.

ETA of delivery around July.

Regards
