my FC seems abit high, but got go climb hill for 1 time, then traffic jam after office hr, average speed at SID is 22km/h only.. 90% city drive i can say, no much high way in the city. only highway is drive from my home to city centre around 5km but that road can only drive 80km/h cruising for few mins then need stop edi ><

the trip meter is 290 now, but left 2bar only..
*
biasa lar bro. my full tank bout 330km only. when uphill or moving from standstil, the instant litre consumed shows 40-70l/100km rclxub.gif heavy lar. but wen goin on highway at 100km, it wil reduce to 3-5l/100km. d car more suited for highway driving kot.

Added on May 28, 2012, 11:24 am
when u receive your car the 10k schedule will be in the service booklet...

They said SOP is semi first. And magnatrap is highly recommended. Takut if I disagree then they will note as not complying to warranty service.

Just talked to the technician. It seems there is no ecu remap. Same ol ecu. He double checked against the system also. He test drove the car and told that proton created the D mode for fuel efficient economy style. If wanna pecut just change to S. so there is no changes directed from HQ. bout the boot, he changed some parts in d lock. Now checking part by part for engine rattling sound.

Nice 1 deepan. So based on ur personal view, Can I consider that Service Centre as satisfactory level? Or excellent? I'm compiling a good SC to be posted in FP later bro.. Thx in advance!
*
its satisfactory. not excellent. have to wait very long like gomen office tongue.gif but the technicians are frenly. i was lingerin around dem je, they explained everythin to me while doin the work. den they took me for a ride to explain where the problems and so on. good fellas. if u have any doubt, u can mingle with them. no sorok2 all.

QUOTE(orcinus @ May 28 2012, 05:34 PM)
u mean previously car cannot move at all unless 1.8K rpm?
*
literally have to press sampai 1.8k rpm. if not it wil move like u never press d accelerator.. now at bout 1k-1.3k also movin fast. if the ecu is d same, how come got difference..hmmm... dat i cant answer tongue.gif

my problem was d car engine area plus dashboard wobbles when car movin at below 10km/h.. they manage to solve it, although have to wait from 12pm-4pm. something in d ABS system which was loose. so d part keep rattling. now ok edi. C pillar dont tink solved. didnt test at high speed on highway yet at long period of time.

my dashboard doesnt rattle wen pedal hard. my engine just roars plus whistle sound. but im sure the technician will look into it if u tell dem. they seem committed, not avoidin and givin excuse.

need appointment. they use semi. i asked for full but they said kenot cos not recommended. 5k interval.

service wise, they solved d big problems in my car, so im kinda biased. haha. but timing wise, really sux. so many breaks, and all go one shot. no shift. so u have to wait lar. i sent my car for service a 9.30am as per appointment time but the finished doin everythin at 4.30pm. u pandai2 kire lar. haha.

oh yea, i told dem my car steers to d left when drivin and they did wheel alignment FOC. my mileage was 1113km when i sent it in.

QUOTE(Rick Federer @ May 29 2012, 12:33 AM)
Factory initial settings gave you 2 options: D to on initial lag.  S to off initial lag.
But most of you requested to withdraw one of the options, ie. initial lag.
Is that the correct or wise decision? I do not know but at least give it some thought, please.

You may be a good and careful driver who can easily adapt to the raw power of this light turbo. But there may be times when your wife, parents in late 60s or younger brother in his teens borrow your car to drive. They could be clumsy and careless or slower reflexes compared to you.

I am sure it did happen at least once in a lifetime when you wanted to move forward but engage gear wrongly vice versa. Or while waiting at traffic lights, the car next to you rolling slowly backwards or going forward a little caused an illusion where you thought the lights is green and you accidentally step on the pedal to catch up your delayed reaction which in fact the traffic lights is still red and you jam on the brakes hard. Maybe also because you were chatting and got carried away.

If all preves move fast from 1k rpm, I will definitely teach my family members how to spot a preve and don't ever stand in front or walk behind a quick dash if the driver has started the engine.

I don't understand why is it so difficult to pull gear down to S mode when you are in roundabouts or junctions when you need that instant response to squeeze into the queue.

For those who have a heavy foot, at least they can use the factory D mode which has initial lag and by the time they feel it's unresponsive their mind would already been alert and focusing how much more pressure on the pedal is needed.

I am not a good writer therefore I would like to apologize if I annoyed anyone while trying to bring up a point for thought.
Please understand that I cannot prevent my neighbor granny from driving a preve, neither can you.

I am absolutely certain we are all responsible drivers but still there are those with kopi o license whom we curse everyday. What if they are driving a preve?
I guess the best we can do is inform SC don't remap their ecu lor.  tongue.gif
*
errr bro...just bcoz a few granny and uncle gonna have difficulty drivin a turbo car doesnt mean u bog it down to a level where it feels like ur steppin on a 6L ferrari pedal just to make it move. pre-service was really disappointing coz my previous persona felt gentler on the pedal. its like asking ferrari to slow down their torque just because the buyers gonna be grand uncles, thus the initial speed might kill them doh.gif

in d first place, a granny or a careless teen who cant control a car shudnt have any business near a preve or whatever car for the matter. D mode shud be normal mode, not underpowered mode.

could be.. coz if you see the instant usage, moving from 0 have about 25-30l/km punya reading... only once you get to higher gear the reading goes significantly down.
*
mine can reach 40l/km sometimes.. goin on hill is d worst. sampai 60l/km rclxub.gif

I won't go back, in this case, I had to fixed the paint issue and also the OWV, which is fixed now. Thank god. I can proceed to normal SC

To change the OWV, engine cover had to take off, top part. Parts that were replaced are OWV and gasket head.

So far I did not notice any cold start issue. Engine starting sound smooth now. I wonder why couldn't fix it at the first place. Hmm
*
my car every mornin wen on it, got this over crank sound lar. dunno if its OWV problem or just normal cold engine problem. sigh... it only happens wen i dun use d car for a long period of time.. pls advice.
