LOL perv...
Hehehehe... Read on baby..
So sorry, it’s a bit lengthy. Please bear with me for a moment.
My Personal review of the car which I received today 29/05/2012
I think I better off start my story this way. Today’s morning around 9AM my SA SMS me requesting for my email. When I asked what for? He promptly replied that it’s for my YES registration procedure. Therefore I’m happy since I know some of u in this forum who his SA didn’t even know how to do it.
Excited to wait till evening, managed to kaw tim with my boss to ‘let go’ of me a bit early.. (That’s when somebody started to speculate

)When I arrived at the showroom around 5.59PM, my SA has already been waiting for me. He greeted with a smile even though he knows I have fucuk i-Care regarding their lame allocation system (I still emphasize on this since today the PE FB replied WL’s post on 19th of May, today).
He explained to me that I’ll need to come & see him again approximately by this Friday to collect the free gifts. This is what I & my wife managed to get from him by the way:
1. Smart Tag
2. Touch & Go with RM60 value inside
3. Umbrella
4. Steering Lock
5. Will try to secure Proton’s Key-Chain. If not he’ll get me Ambi Pur instead

He then handed over to me YES 4G Huddle box which is not yet open as I can see the seal is not yet tempered with. According to him the SA can help to register without having to open the box.
Handed to me the manual, the ICE manual, and the service booklet which states that the car is warranted for 5 years except those in “Specific Warranty Sections”. Will look into that in details later. Then he asked me to come see the car for myself.
Of my first glance damn the car’s so nice from the outside (at least to me). Everything seems so perfect. He demoed the boot opening, explained the side mirror folding system, (thank God no overly inward side mirror) and then he asked me to step inside with him at the front passenger’s side and my wife at the back.
My first impression is, damn its’ nice. Saw the Eco-Tint door tag hung on the rear view mirror and found the Eco-Tint Warranty card in the dash-board.
My SA then taught me how to start the car. It’s the same as most of u guys discussed yesterday, the first way. I’ve tried the 2nd way of starting the car later and it also managed to start smoothly. The aircond was set to auto but not long after that I can feel it’s already cold inside. This is another testimony of how powerful Proton’s airconds are.
Then he explained the Smart Info Display (SID), glad to see that my gear light got no problem, all alphabets (P, D, R, D & S can be seen clearly after I switched on the head light. Saw in the trip A that the car only moved for 6.3km if not mistaken. My SA explained he already filled in RM20 of petrol and the SID shows the car can go at least until 76km. Don’t think it’s accurate since the car is standing still at the moment.
Regardless, after everything he was instructed to explained to the customer (As I saw in his hands that there are a checklist of what should be explained to the customer), he checked my fog lamp and both the front & the back was lit up nicely.
Now, comes the first thought-to-be-a-problem…
When I and my wife wanted to go outside, my wife’s door (left rear door) cannot be opened from the inside. The center lock button has been pushed but still it won’t budge. I quickly thought it’s the child lock. My SA then opens the door from the outside and have his hands worked on the lock part. Then he asked my wife to close the door and tried again. Suddenly, BAAMMM, the car’s rear left door cannot be closed as if there’s something blocking the door’s latch.
Though the SA almost seems to be panicked at the time, he calmly bent over on his knees & checks the door again. Saw that the place where the door’s latch should close/engaged once the door’s close has the latch on as if the door is already close. That thing is the one causing the door can’t be closed at particular moment. He tries to adjust it and compare it with the right side’s door child lock but to no avail. He then called his colleague in the Servicing Dept and that guy finally solves it. He claimed that there’s something wrong when my SA change to child lock mechanism earlier causing the door latch to close despite the door is not.
The three of us then boleh tarik nafas lega oredi..
Then I went to finalize the words with my SA, my wife been circling the car around. This time, it was her that found another thing that I think none of u here who already got the car has this. My rear left tail lamp is CRACKED! It’s not so obvious but when u touched it with your hands it is indeed obvious. My SA then quickly compares with the rear right tail lamp and confirmed that my left tail lamp (the one that is situated on the body, not boot lid) is indeed CRACKED. It’s just pure luck that the car’s body was not affected yet only the lamp is busted… Wonder how something like that can happen

Just when we’re all about to close the deal happily…
On the acceptance sheet my SA requested me to write about it and we both signed on it. He then called his branch QC manager (or so it seems) but the guy didn’t answer. Suddenly another man popped up from his back and my SA quickly informed him about the matter. The 2nd guy (whom I believed is the one my SA been calling earlier) then claimed I can take out the car first and he’ll request the lamp to be delivered from Tanjung Malim as currently the Preve spare parts is yet to be delivered to all 3S centers in Malaysia. My SA then informed me that he’ll let me know about it tomorrow to tell me when I can come in to have it changed.
I asked my SA if it rains tonite is there any risk that the water will sip inside? He quickly said no as he already had the car washed around 3PM, if water broke through, by that time 6.30PM there’ll be a fog inside the tail lamp already but fortunately no, no fog detected.
I got no choice other than to accept it first then will come back again for the free gifts as well as to change my tail lamp. Other than this my car performs superbly.
Driving Experience
My car moved from stand still when I engaged ‘D’. That’s good news to me as I’m quite afraid that my car will have the sluggishness issue. If I press the pedal at 1.5-1.7k rpm my car already moved faster than I imagine it would. Again I’m glad to find that my car dashboard got no rattling sound when pressing the throttle. From Setapak to UIA Gombak, and from there to PJ, I just drove my car with the max speed of 100KM/h and the RPM stays max at 2.1K. Hope that’s good.
Need to study first for the FC as I haven’t refueled my baby yet. Will update u guys again tomorrow. Thank you for reading this till the end.
