QUOTE(sioe @ Jun 13 2012, 04:45 PM) Chief, don't fall into lens lust. Control the camera n make full use of it. Don't instead let it control u. I've seen ppl using ep1 with mark I kit lens displaying shots 1000 times better than ppl with D800. as i always said, skill come 1st

QUOTE(sioe @ Jun 15 2012, 01:08 PM) Hi guys, it comments & criticizing time again. This time around, I've taken two Macro shots of a same flower and I would like sifus sifus to view it and choose which is better. The two shots were taken using the same 12-50mm kit lens in Macro Mode with similar Settings other than Shot I has the Aperture Wide Open while Shot II has the Aperture Stepped Down. I'm basically just altering the Depth of Field. Question I: Which Aperture Setting makes the Flower more "attractive"? Question II: Are the photos too dark? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « SHOT I: Aperture Wide Open - Smaller DoF SHOT II: Aperture Stepped Down - Larger DoF i love 2nd photo more even though 1st 1 look not bad too. Not too dark for me..just nice..maybe can boost up abit brightness

QUOTE(sioe @ Jun 15 2012, 02:54 PM) Thanks guys.... more Commenst & Criticisms please. Thats the only way I'll learn. Lazyboy: I agree on the reason of choosing the 2nd shot. Kinda feel the same way too. The Shot brings out the whole flower to focus. Only thing is, does the background post as a distraction now that its also clearer? Yea, n I have some serious eye problem with exposure. My eyes tend to see things brighter when they r actually darker. Astigmatism maybe. jloi: Thanks for the positive review. =) Keep them coming! Added on June 15, 2012, 2:56 pmNow, was wondering when u'ld comment on the pics... lol Bulu2? lol. Both kan ade bulu? Macro lighting? *poison shield MAXimum!* I think i forgot mention d reason..yes because 2nd pic is fully sharp it doesnt matter coz the whole focus point is flower where bg adi bokeh out and people can c whole details of it. Just my 2cent X) I am a sharpness junkie, dont reli care bokeh much

QUOTE(iJoel @ Jun 18 2012, 08:00 PM) Hi guys I'm using 20mm with Olympus EPM-1. The lens somehow tend to hunt when taking a shot, need to half click few times to get proper focusing. Happens alot to focus on the wrong subject also. It's even obvious during video recording as it hunts alot. Is this normal kah? I'm noob casual user only snap and go. Hunt is yes. Proper focusing? probably u focus too near, thats not macro lens.

QUOTE(d@odao @ Jun 19 2012, 10:24 AM) This should be the popular question everyone have been asking in the photography... Let discus this on the m43 perspective... It is raw vs jpeg... Which format do u shoot with?... And, why... So far for me, i shoot everything in jpeg, bcoz i like the Olympus jpeg colour and i m a lazy bump... Added on June 19, 2012, 10:26 amPm poison king... I always use RAW when i shoot minimal - portrait, product event i use jpeg..or else i will die editing all the raw and memory card very fast full
