QUOTE(poolcarpet @ Jun 21 2012, 05:38 PM)
any GF2 users here? new to m43 just picked up a used unit to try and learn... noticed at first i could touch the screen and it will focus on the point i touch (not shutter, just green focus box) but not sure what i did now when i touch, it will give me about 4-5 yellow boxes and then i need to press halfway on shutter button then it will focus on one of the many yellow boxes in that area.

any idea?

also, just wondering if there are any threads specifically for GF2 users only? i tried searching for GF2 info here, not much.... sad.gif

thanks!!
*
I`m GF2 owner, as far as i know the yellow box only appear when u use single focus area. and it is only 1 yellow box, how come urs have got so much? U mean each mode you are in also like that? Maybe u try to update your camera firmware via online to see if it fix that problem?

latest fw... 1.1 for both body + lens already smile.gif

so for your GF2, if you touch on the screen it will focus green box?
*
all the while i`m using touch shutter off, so when i use single focus, touch it the yellow box will come out and when i halfway hold the shutter button if will focus there. how bout your case?
focusing in 1 of many yellow boxes sounds fishy....?

there are 4 types of focus, AF tracking, 23 point, 1 point, face detection. I've tried all 4, exactly same behaviour for all 4 smile.gif

Added on June 22, 2012, 10:30 amyes, then mine is currently behaving as what you describe below.

but initially i could have sworn it was setup such that when i touch any point on the LCD, it will immediately focus with green box but will not shoot.... unless if i turn on touch shutter, then it will focus and shoot immediately.
*
oh so now its ok right? then cool smile.gif rclxms.gif

ive read it somewhere before...
if say we use f1.8 on m4/3...
the light gathering capability would still equal to a f1.8 on a FF...
but the DoF would equal to f3.6 on FF...

so basically u only lose the DoF but not the light gathering capability...
*
yeah i'm told by my photographer fren about the light gathering capability too. Agreed.

Why Panny Leica 25mm? Any major diff with the 20mm? What's the market price too?
*
Brand new around rm2.3k cheapest that i know of? RRP is rm2999.
As for difference, you can make more research on the net, bearing Leica's name, it sure must have some standard there

Just read it. AWESOME Stuff! Maybe i should start saving up!

Btw, for any EP user here. I am using Ep3 with 14-42mm kit lens. What setting should i use to gain the best result of pic. I mean in terms of which shutter speed or aperture?
*
its all depends on what you wanna shoot and under what lighting condition smile.gif

Body only should be ard RM3.1k... not sure about PL 25 f1.4, but Oly 45 f1.8 should be ard RM1k....
I'll be getting the body + Oly 45 this weekend... while saving for the Pan 12-35 f2.8 to reach our shore....

Hopefully I won't regret the decision to jump ship to m4/3 after I sold my NEX7 set-up early this week  biggrin.gif
*
whao why such decision to sell ur NEX replace with m43?

QUOTE(widget @ Jul 19 2012, 02:10 PM)
Bro, any idea when is the local launch of Pana 12-35 f2.8 and the expected price?
Thanks
*
Not sure yet, I have tested with Pana Msia last few weekend, and he (not sure reliable or not) claim is around 2.5-3k, but members here claims that its up to 4k? hmmm really not sure

QUOTE(ejoeflizzow @ Jul 19 2012, 02:18 PM)

Not happy with NEX7 hi-ISO, not happy with the purple fringing on wide angle legacy, not enough native E-mount lens that fully utilized N7 sensor.

Ah ic, thats enough reason hehee, hope u'll enjoy using m43 smile.gif hehe
