Panasonic 7-14mm f4

any GF2 users here? new to m43 just picked up a used unit to try and learn... noticed at first i could touch the screen and it will focus on the point i touch (not shutter, just green focus box) but not sure what i did now when i touch, it will give me about 4-5 yellow boxes and then i need to press halfway on shutter button then it will focus on one of the many yellow boxes in that area.

any idea?

also, just wondering if there are any threads specifically for GF2 users only? i tried searching for GF2 info here, not much....

so for your GF2, if you touch on the screen it will focus green box?

there are 4 types of focus, AF tracking, 23 point, 1 point, face detection. I've tried all 4, exactly same behaviour for all 4

Added on June 22, 2012, 10:30 amyes, then mine is currently behaving as what you describe below.

but initially i could have sworn it was setup such that when i touch any point on the LCD, it will immediately focus with green box but will not shoot.... unless if i turn on touch shutter, then it will focus and shoot immediately.

ive read it somewhere before...
if say we use f1.8 on m4/3...
the light gathering capability would still equal to a f1.8 on a FF...
but the DoF would equal to f3.6 on FF...

so basically u only lose the DoF but not the light gathering capability...

Btw, for any EP user here. I am using Ep3 with 14-42mm kit lens. What setting should i use to gain the best result of pic. I mean in terms of which shutter speed or aperture?

Body only should be ard RM3.1k... not sure about PL 25 f1.4, but Oly 45 f1.8 should be ard RM1k....
I'll be getting the body + Oly 45 this weekend... while saving for the Pan 12-35 f2.8 to reach our shore....

Hopefully I won't regret the decision to jump ship to m4/3 after I sold my NEX7 set-up early this week

Not happy with NEX7 hi-ISO, not happy with the purple fringing on wide angle legacy, not enough native E-mount lens that fully utilized N7 sensor.
