the ...initializing... problem in mac still presist.

found a workaround on battlenet forum...

use command line and use the OPEN command

eg: open "Diablo III.app" --args -launch

go figure out the path urself.

EDIT: and I am still wondering, what did they do this time round with such a long downtime?...
