I'm still cannot defeat belial. Using barb dunno what to do

this ass made me play almost 5-6 times only can kill him because of the delay. i believe u got pwned by the ground explosions. just need to be very sharp and click fast because the .5 second delay kills you

I use 2 weapons. Skill don't remember. What you recommend.

belial is one of the hardest boss in game

azmodan and diablo is nth compared to him

u can use leap to avoid belial attack..mostly when u see green thing nearby ur char..run away far abit..dont too close..frenzy will help u, when u got extra fury use seismic slam..
summon those 3 ancestor at starting fight and keep it in cd..

U just need to avoid the poison wave, Belial is nothing compare to hell sewers lol...

go for life leech for all ur skill.....should help u kill him.....

solo-ed hell belial, 2-man party one person dead. no big deal

belial got 3 mode, 1 mode he just look, doesnt join battle, 2nd mode, he join battle and that is a small belial, the last mode, he cheat and become godzilla size. the first 2 modes, kill his minions and avoid healing pots on the ground, the 3rd mode, if you need healing, take potion 1st, within 30 secs(potion lag), u cant quaff another, go take healing pot on the ground, then go back potion, then healing pot(1 to 2 pot depends on how much you need) on the ground. im not saying u stand still and let it whack you, i say use this method to help you heal in between potion lag. it is possible to dodge all 100% his attacks by moving around.

some other tricks you might want to consider, change passive skills, 1 skill can heal you after you use warcry(shout), 1 skill can drain its hp, i think 3% off damage you can do, use a bigger potion type, etc. but dodging is the best, cause in higher difficulty, u cant heal as fast as it able to damage you, so prevent getting damage is the key.

@OP: You didn't specify you were failing on which mechanic... so I'm going to assume you died to green slimes on the ground.

The key to it is not to keep moving. You see, you only move when the green thing spawns at your feet as it will take 2 seconds b4 it "explodes" and affect you. So you just move out of it, stop, wait for another one to spawn, then move out... rinse and repeat.

If you're having issues with adds killing you, then go on a party with a tank (barb/monk), with a healer and 2 dpsers (including you). I did that in hell mode after getting killed by adds endlessly and it was so much easier. My group comprised of witch doc, mage, myself the DH and a monk tank all from pug.

If you're dying due to other issues, then please update the post so we know how to help advice...

i was having problem also! But i just beat him last night with level 25 barb. My trick? HIRE A TEMPLAR! Give him the healing skills and a good shield and it will be very easy already..hehe

i destroyed belial in less than 10 secs thanks to auction house lol lol

if you know belial's attacks, is pretty simple.

1. big arms attack, it will signal on the floor before he smack on it. look the green marks which will light up.

2. vommit toxic, just slowly avoid it by carefully walk to avoid it, if beginner, don try to attack him. just avoid it first.

3. the toxic whirlwid. he only spread to a certain area, go the safe place. this is the best time to hentam belial kao kao.

initially i also buta-buta kena killed by him few times, after study his pattern, pretty simple.

p/s: make sure u have yr vital can tahan at least 2 of his attack. but i think barb shd have not prob on it.

Belial is tougher than azmodan -___-

1) be patient, don keep attacking
2) when he spam green thing, just keep moving and avoid.

the rest of his attack not that pain.

I have a bad news for you.....

Doesn't seem to be a problem for Monk though. In normal mode, so far monk is an easy drive.

nightmare belial is awesome.

actually the 3rd AOE skill is "pain in the @$$"

but if your not having graphic lagness and internet lag, u are able to perdict the attack pattern and avoide getting hit by it.

start of when the boss put his 2 arms on the ground, tats the sign his going to start the AOE attack, what i did is my character stand infront of his mouth, wait and start runing around..hahah

Nightmare belial is imba -___-

u can dodge the ground explosions if you are alert and timing right. Got some kind of markers or warning before explode. I only died once while lagging, the rest is easy. Good luck.

This boss is a killer.

I also barely made it in normal, cant recall what lvl but it is soloable. As a monk, save heal and potion cooldown for aoe phase. Only pop potion and heals when low in health. And I hired scoundrel instead of templar, killing bel asap is crucial.

i got stuck quite a few times oso at him. yea u can predict the green circle thinggy but when it pops out pretty much everywhere really hard. tried to vault it with my DH but didnt really work. finally succeeded when i used smokescreen. not sure how it works really but it enables me to dodge the aoe pretty well

well as monk, can use serenity & seven sided strike to temporary go into 'god' mode to avoid the explosion

i can assist to do belial in normal mode! also have a lot of good RARE +str +vit stuff for barbarian for sale!

This is a good guide!

Just a few amendment, there is no safe spot for toxic whirlwind.
If you never got hit by whirlwind when he cast on same spot, you're just lucky, maybe he was aiming at your teammate.
-For Barb, i presume you have the jump thing. so in case you're cornered by whirldwind, just jump to a clean spot. you have better evading option than quite a number of class. Most of the time you just have to walk between the clear gap of the whirlwind.
Note: Poison whirlwind needs like 1 sec charge up after he cast on floor to start damaging you.

Vomit toxic has safe spot, its at the end, make sure u are at the far end when he start vomitting.
Easily avoidable and u can can max your dps at this point. whirlwind or whatsoever.

actually it depends on what type of barbarian you play, I seen most people i join game with, they tend to just loot and use the item that have the most defence and attack. Then i look closely at the item its adding to inteligence and dex.

Barb should always focus on STR mainly, then not forgetting your VIT! once u have a decent HP. Your skills should keep you alive, you can opt for those skills which runes enable life and fury increase. Also summoning the 3 ancient works wonders for belial!

Always use jump and get 100% more armor when you land rune. That way u get to sustain longer.

Had no problems with belial and have been assisting people doing it since. Hope this helps

Well I guess the tips on WOW works here too: "Don't stand on fire!". Fire means something funny on ground.

hang out on the right hand side of the platform, the attacks are less over that area, that's what i encountered so far after several runs with him...

there is no safe spot for the explosions, but they're easily dodgeable. the only skill that is considered hard to dodge is the one that he pierces his pincer into the ground to hit you. the speed of attack animation and its aoe renders it to hit most of the time.

belial is easy if u got monk or barb in ur party.
ask them to tank the mob and u unleash the damage.
thats the hardest part with belial i guess.. the mob.
there rest are just dodging..

But nightmare belial is so easy

I beat NM belial with both barb and wiz

yup same... xD i only died once because another friend of mine comes to me with his back chased by green-slime-vortex-of-doom!

but then Belial is freaking easy to play on Nightmare.. can't wait to fight him in Hell mode!

i solo in normal with monk + serenity protect myself when in danger being attacked by her big arm or explosions surrounded

if nightmare, haha that really hard without frens help, cannot last long enough to beat her

Try hell belial and you know what is hard
level 60 and still die many times.
His 3 hit combo (smash) and his meteor is the killer.
3 hit combo is easy to avoid just run the out of the way of the green circle for 2 times ( left and right ) and the last one ( middle )
for meteor, it's all about avoiding and luck, if you stand one spot and he mass spam that spot, just pray it doesnt 1HKO you

hrm. using monk.

Normal mode vs Belial. Solo. 1 try win. Just stand there do nothing except whacking and healing.

Nightmare mode vs Belial. Solo. 2 try win. Just stand there didn't quite work due to the bombing so I run around during bombing la. If no bombing I just stand there do nothing except whacking.

My take is vs Belial, HP + DPS helps a lot. And knowing how to avoid the bomb.

as long as u can estimate the bomb fuse... and time ur steps accordingly, should be ok..

wiz with teleport should help as well

died in belial too ....
but then lucky smoke screen(invisible) save me ...
i focus on dex, so my hp can tahan 1 hit only, 2nd hit i will KO

that's why should upgrade stash and keep a few variation of stats boosting kit. sometimes have to swap stats for the situation.

even your choice of skills and runes can affect the outcome.

Give up solo...... even on level 55.

kill killed him last night, 1 time tried.
basically jst need to predict where and when his attack, and u will win..

if u predict well, u will be fine

but shit happens, when there's a strike cannot evade, serenity will take the damage

avoid the bombing run, it will one shot in normal / nightmare / hell / inferno most characters unless got ridiculous amount of health + damage reduction + resistance.

beating belial is mostly about surviving his bombing run.

Which becomes ridiculously difficult when you got more than 600ms lag.

solo'ed hell belial.. 3 tries.. endless adds kill me =.=

oh. ping is okay on weekdays, weekends ping terribad.

avoid playing on weekends.

my monk cant survive on Nightmare =="

end up I change my skill to Diamond Skin (instead of Frost armor) + cyclopse laser eye, then only manage to kiew Belial ~_~
