IINM, 1 forumer here using chopstick as their diffuser.
but dont know can last for how long..

just buy a new 1, rm20 only.. or just use the normal air stone

normal air stone wont help to diffuse the co2 well...
the diffuser diffuse co2 not because the bubble...
the co2 diffuse at the white plate of diffuser...

which means the bigger plate on that diffuser the better it will diffuse the co2

Im not worried about the glass. What i meant was the cigarette filter. I just dont want to fork out money when im able to do this myself.

u may try bro, if you dont see your plant pearling much , it means the co2 not diffuse well...
plus for long run,it's very troublesome... u need to keep on change like everyday once...

no offense for who like East Aqua,

my advise is never ever buy thing at EA... they sell very expensive, due to the rental fees and their branding name too...

yea buy at pudu better... oh ya dont buy the plastic diffuser...
glass one still works best... the plastic diffuser i encounter is the plate is not stick enough to the diffuser end up the plate leak... well u may try it out, for me i have bad experience with plastic diffuser more than glass.. which i dont agree with the plastic diffuser... just sharing.. =) oh ya if you come to Jalan Pasar on monday to friday find me bro... i can give u advise... caused my office at jalan pasar too haha

DecemberRose,

dont go tesco or gaint or any super market...
just go those HARDWARE Shop... dont go ACE Market... they sell expensive.

Go those chinaman hardware shop... sell piping, electricity bulb, fan , switch those shop... they have sell....

one more advise...
as long as the light can produce 6500k and with the Suitable Wattage u needed will do..
doesnt need go buy those branded light bulb... if you talk about branded light bulb i still prefer PHILIPHS....
they are the only BEST light bulb manufacturer that i TRUST the most... othe than that...
Osram or any brand is too over rated...

MIC brand already can make the plant pearling....

guys i need help... theres been a huge outbreak of BBA inside my tanks and i need to know does any1 here can tell me what might i be doing wrong? have been manually removing them by hands but its getting worse by everyday. ive checked online that BBA is mostly due to unstable CO2 but im using solenoid regulator and hadnt changed the BPS for some time already. any help please?

BBA problems are more related to stable CO2[during photoperiod as rightly pointed out] and high stickiness due to mulm buildup. This can be reduced by cleaning the filter. I find cleaning the filter and vacuuming more effective than counting CO2 bubbles to combat BBA.
