Jeweler - Add socket ability request

Is there anyone here send the feedback/request to blizzard to add in this feature?

why dont ask bliaazrd give us equipment customizable npc ?

You mean to create a socket on an equip? I don't think we should have that. Later all the equip becomes imba, market no people will buy items with socket and all already lor.

Jeweler function is too limited, only upgrade gems and remove gems.

maybe he can do more than that:

- add socket(s) to items.

Yup, i know that in D2 got one act which awarded which a socket.

but I think can be limited la... like if eq has no sockets, if want make socket - can but only 1.

maybe jeweler and blacksmith can work together to work out more awesome gears.

perhaps blizzard can provide other materials for blacksmith to craft like gold, silver, crystals, gems. etc...

crafting is a big waste of money..

Agree, overpowered won't be fun. limited socket, max is 2.

starting to sound like one of the MMORPG I played for free few years back... too many upgrade path for too many of weapon choices

crafting basically replaced gambling in D2.
in the later stage like in hell or inferno, when have tons of money, no harm to do that.

early stage, spend 1k per item on AH, you will OP your stage boss.. at current stage with dps close to 400 (level 27 act III) .. kinda melt all monster in front of me..

u can socket the items, but there's a catch!

the more sockets u want to put, the higher chances item become destroyed in the process!

Yup. Blizzard can add in this risk factor. cool suggestion.

the gems is too few.

diamond, skull are gone.

Actually during beta, the jeweler used to be able to add sockets. However, they removed this before the end of beta.

Blizzard must aware that the add socket feature might imba the items.

Actually no, they can limit the number of sockets to 2-3 and set up the restriction for items without sockets only.

D2LOD can socket 6 gem into a weapon max. If we really want to add this to D3 without breaking the game, either:
- monster need to be fxxking hard to kill
- another lever beyond inferno (Armageddon??)
- weapon with such slot are not craftable/tradable
- item only drop by Inferno bosses

maybe wait for DLC?
