I live in bandar seri putra, let me share my daily experience driving to office in kl, with various scenario:
1) before the existence of AES (near kajang exit), driving at constant 120km/h, from toll putra mahkota to toll sg besi took 11-12 minutes. Without traffic jam after sg besi toll (imagine during long school holidays or CNY or raya holidays), taking smart tunnel, i could reach my office in chulan square in approx. 30 minutes, no kidding!
2) disturbed by AES, with a bit cheating driving skill (only slowing down approaching AES area), i may take extra 2 minutes. With more cautious driving approach following speed limit, probably extra 5 minutes from scenario (1).
3) unfortunately, normal daily scenario is not like described above; low-degree traffic jam immediately after sg. Besi toll, a bit around sri petaling and smart tunnel, this probably delaying my journey by 10-15 minutes, medium-degree jam may cause 15-25 minutes compared to scenario (1).
4) another option: detour MEX expressway, go thru jam after salak toll up to RHB building, this may cause extra 20-30 minutes compared to scenario (1).
To avoid jam is a matter of timing actually, go out very early or a bit late might help, but definitely not in between!.
The Proposed exit for southville city i believe may cut yr journey by approx. 3 minutes (from the exit point okay!).
Hope this may help you in decision-making process.
Agreed with u. I live in bandar baru bangi and your estimations are true.1) before the existence of AES (near kajang exit), driving at constant 120km/h, from toll putra mahkota to toll sg besi took 11-12 minutes. Without traffic jam after sg besi toll (imagine during long school holidays or CNY or raya holidays), taking smart tunnel, i could reach my office in chulan square in approx. 30 minutes, no kidding!

im assuming the 15mins term to KL is considering KL as the sg. Besi toll only.
If from the project site to sg besi toll, its give or take 10 - 15mins with a speed of 100kmh - 120kmh range.
i myself work in KL @ jalan tun razak. My route from bangi - sg besi tol - mex - tun razak exit usually is about 1hr on heavy traffic. (congestion points: after sg besi toll infront of mint hotel +5 - 10mins, mex entry at bukit jalil +5 - 15mins, and after the mex rm1.50 toll +10-20mins). This estimate is taking the start travel time @ 740am every morning. earlier times should yield less traffic congestion imo.
if on school holidays and eve of major festive holidays, i can reach tun razak via the same route above within 25mins.
from what i see, its still an acceptable location to reach KL with those times in rush hour traffic.
But saying 15mins to KL in the adverts seem a little misleading to me. Mahsing shuld atleast say 25mins.
