Just sharing, if you as a beginner what to do best with your money?

1) Collect all Blue equipments and sell back to Merchant
2) When you have enough golds, go to Auction House to search Gold Find + Stat equipments btw 5k-8k, which also can provide you decent atk/defense.
3) Repeat all the way until lv60 if you still can survive, basically somewhere end of difficult mode or early hell mode.

Upgrade Gem/Artisan/Storage only when you are rich enough and comfortable to do so.
Buy new set equipment only until you feel you are so fragile.

Auction House, personally for me is a great feature to remove the frustration of spend so much time on items hunt but no good return.

Pick up all the loot and sell, salvage blue item into essence.

also beware with the fortune shrine, see if there are mini boss around, take the +25% good luck and kiew da bosss
I already get 3-4 times rare item when I stay around the fortune shrine, and bosses are there

I used to salvage blue into essence, but as I proceed I see no point to collect materials and keep crafted useless items, i found sell it all back to merchant and buy everything in auction house is a much efficient way at early stage.

Collect gold, is a more stable way to go.
Maybe until level60 only can start for item craft.

don't pickup white/grey loot.. they're useless and not worth ur time..

I dont upgrade blacksmith coz the weapon sold is useless @@

im in nightmare mode now, receive alot of pages of blacksmith

Pages are for upgrading blacksmith and to craft items

FYI those pages are to upgrade the artisan/ablacksmith and jeweller at certain higher level..

maximizing profit means maximizing your inventory use; a inventory space empty is a profit less.

The thing about D3 is town teleport portal is free. So it makes selling junk totally free, you don't have to count the 100G as investment like previous diablo game.

I pick up everything and sell, got 50k gold now and is only level 15. Don't even bother to buy stuff off the merchant, they sell crap

with the around 120% gold find, at nightmare mode I can get at least 50k/hour act 2.
items that below lv59 are all worthless to craft honestly.

but you can try to salvage for essense in later game once you are good enough with your current wealth and plan to craft and sell rare in lv60 as your money making career.

money making career is ... tempting

U craft them and the outcome is rather random. I have a rare helm from crafting my own

did you crafting with equipping the +Magic find % item?

didn't see any items in blacksmith higher dps than my current weapon

so i don't craft ...zzz

Cant remember but I think I have a a 6% one


basically the items u craft have thing called *3 random magic properties. Those 3 are random



u need to lvl ur crafting skill from the blacksmith to unlock them but u need to pay a sum though..

crafting will create a minimum blue(magic) item, just like ur loot. The DPS is fixed(but maybe improved depending the outcome of the craft) for its class

Don't craft, don't salvage equipment.

Have 3.3m and spent 950k on my weapon. What's up.

What are the follower items for?

its for your mercenaries.. eg templar, enchantress and scoundrel

no need to craft jewels and blacksmith..waste of money..gems are cheaper to buy than crafting it..higher level later then start crafting high level gems

Equip your Templar, Scoundrel or Enchantress, depending on items. Templar requires STR, Scoundrel DEX, Enchantress INT.

I just prefer to craft my own gems even though it's more expensive fun + I'm a rich feg (in-game only)

My tip? (obviously not for speed runners if you're a beginner)

1. pick up EVERYTHING. Teleport ANYTIME. Teleport is FREE now!
2. Sell ALL white ones (almost).
2. Sell ALL blue ones that are <100 gold. I believe salvaging <100G items will result in essence (and tooth) can can get you around 100G.
3. Equip as many items that you can that provide you with x% to get magical items. it helps A LOT.
4. Don't be so kedekut and not sell. No point upgrading your stash. Upgrade your blacksmith and jewelery (if you want).
5. If you follow step 3, you have no use of merchant-sold items so no need to buy stuff.
6. MONEY COMES EASY FROM ACT III ONWARDS. So if you have upgraded all by the time you reach ACT III, it's just all money for you to spend

Speaking of % of finding Magical items...

Socket a Topaz into your helmet for more %

I was thinking of keeping a set of +% of finding magical item also.... at least for normal mode. Once you hit NM, you will need proper gear.

oh forgot one more thing

7. Don't bother combining (or even saving) those chipped topaz. Use them whenever you want to. Once you each ACT III, you'll start getting flawed topaz and topaz already. Once you reach ACT III, you can unequip those gems from your items.

So if you follow my tip, when you play ACT III you're gonna have money to buy good stuff at Auction House, upgrade your jeweler to max quickly, and every quest that you make in dungeons can give you 4-10k if you teleport all the time once your items are full.

Do the teleport-sell-repair-equip-salvage-store-dungeon-teleport run enough times, and your downtime (while in town and not in dungeon) will be so fast you won't even notice it anymore.

white color armor/weapons definitely not worth to pick up, they sell for 3 gold each. An inventory full of them only sell 90 gold...
not very far in the game you kill one monster edi drop 100 gold.

the time use to tp back to town to sell all the white stuff you can kill 100 monsters liao

but my followers can u use it for some reason? Are there charms in d3?
