My Hippo VB getting show some issues on muted sound of right ear, because of this I asking for recommendation and Jaben Walabies recommend Final Audio Design Heaven II to me.
Normally I listening to instrumental music such as piano Richard Clayderman , saxophone Kenny G, Kitaro, IL DIVO, and also Orchestra. Other than that, I also listening to trance Avicii, David Guetta, Eiffel 65, Micheal Jackson, Adele, Big Bang, DJ song, Disco song. Hippo VB give me experienced like have a live band in front of me when listening to instrumental and like a mini Boom Disco stand up have a kick dance when listen to trance and disco song.
Too bad my Hippo VB have gone just for 2 years.. After read alot of comment about FAD from this fan club, I found out that FAD is quite seductive and so easy go deep to people's heart. Now, I become eager to look forward, how FAD can bring me deep into sound world and forget about myself after testing.... (hope my immune system could b strong enough to resist going for better FAD, else.... purse bleeding hehehehe)

QUOTE(SpringBiscuit @ Aug 18 2014, 05:00 PM) The good feature about Hippo VB as you can adjust the bass around to suit your taste and different music genre. Direct competing is pretty hard as VB doesn't have a fix signature due to the bass changeable. Heaven II has great tonality for Vocal, classical, instrument while Adagio II has great punch and impact on bass. Although Hippo VB can adjust variation bass, but 2 yrs I used is never change bass node (2 yrs ady oso use no dot bass note which is the most heavy bass) to listen genre music i have state above.. haha. So, I believe FAD Adiago II & III or Heaven II would may b suit me.. I trust my ear

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Aug 18 2014, 05:28 PM) If you are willing to spend until Adagio III level, you could also consider 1) Vsonic GR07 2) TDK BA200 3) T-Peos Altone200 4) RE400 5) Zero Audio Carbo Tenore If you can top your funds a bit more you could also look at DUNU-1000 currently on sale at Massdrop Huhu, That's out of my budget ady~ my budget jz around <rm 400... bleeding oohhh.. so, stick on my plan.. hehe

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Aug 18 2014, 02:18 PM) We welcome you down the audio pit of no return Haha~ Adagio II & III the bass too punchy too wide for me... not solid and precise enough, details and treble is ok. Sony XBA-H1 the bass solid and precise but less a bit on treble and details on the sound. I prefer (solid and precise bass most likely Sony XBA-H1; the treble and details most likely with FAD Heaven II) = FAD Heaven IV. I'm in love with it, but too bad is over my budget~ sob sob... (determine to save money for have 1, hmmm) Now I really believe Lego Warfare and un_id said... once down the audio pit of no return; will never be in peace again.. your ears will be a fat scumbag, want to eat more and more.. oh gosh.. Kena poison ady~~~~ This post has been edited by chocosnowshake: Aug 18 2014, 11:25 PM
