Sundhev Sreetharan from Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd, the Master Developer of Cyberjaya, presented the third talk titled “The New Cyberjaya”, which highlighted the prominent location for investment.

“Those who invested in Cyberjaya will be very fortunate in the future as this township has become the centre of attention for many developers,” he said.

From 1997 to 2014, a total of RM20bil was spent on Cyberjaya’s infrastructure and 48% of the land is reserved for parks and public facilities.

In the final talk titled “Top 10 Significant GST Impacts to Property Development Industry”, BDO Malaysia executive director (advisory & GST) Gan Hock Soon said, “Malaysia may follow Japan’s initial pattern of increased consumption during the first few months of GST implementation.”

He went on to say that property prices would increase because if the developers did not absorb the costs, they would then pass it on to the buyers.

Elsewhere, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd Marketing and Sales Department head Sabariah Ramli said the township of Putrajaya was a world-class development.

Sabariah said, “Putrajaya is built by Malaysians for Malaysians; it has played host to a number of international events and competitions.”
