for me i think any new series should have new things in it that will make it special then the previous version and not just transition from 2D to 3D. Why need to pay such a heavy price to play a game we play before with a similar style but in 3D?

But seeing how starcraft 2 is such a succes despite being a clone of starcraft 1, the formula has been crafted and proven. Why not roll with it and rip the rewards while the brand name is still strong?

having said that, i hope the new follow up will fix this, new awesome classes maybe and lets just hope the pvp will be something that will be jaw dropping.
