Great. The problem with my freestyle is that both my arms are not symmetrical and my body is not streamlined. Any tips on this?

I am registering for a 4km open water swim. Any idea on how to train on this? My biggest problem is sighting since it is different from normal pool swim?

how deep is it?? if it is a shallow pool, I would say it is very good for drills training. Actually for drills training is no need big pool, all are on focus point.

Example for freestyle swimming:

Example focus point: Head position / arm recovery / body rotation / kicking....
You can do 4 x 20m = Focus on head position, then rest 5 - 10 secs to recheck the sensation, then continue again do 3 set & link it with 4 x 20m full swim at last.

I would suggest each time maximum only focus on two point, wish you happy swimming.  cool2.gif  cool2.gif

I usually swim 2-3km per session in a 50m pool. Now on business trip, the hotel only has a 20m pool, and it would be hard to achieve similar distance with lots of kicking off the walls. Guess drill is good, but still clocking the distance in such a small pool is hard.
