there are 2 pools here. weekdays only open 1 side while weekends when alot ppl will open both. locker is provided but just a small locker but alot. gotta bring 3x20sens(old heavy one) to use them. water is clean most of the time very clear. the depth will start from 1.5 til the mid will b 2 m den shallow back to 1.5. its suitable for both newbie and pros.

interested? this week i dont have time to swim. you can join me on 16th onward for morning 9am swim. there are some uncle there willing to teach newbie. i learn from them for 5 days and can do breast stroke d ^^
its a liquid in a stick with sponge head. i bought d lur~ rm3x nvm lah. nvr try nvr know. next time i'll apply  few min b4 going into wter mayb will last longer kot

lol, bro seek advice here b4 purchase anything. RM30+ a lot mang.. toothpaste work fine for temporary anti-fog effect. apply it, rinse the water then there'll be no fog throughout the entire swimming session. fog came easily if the pool temperature is low.

i have just taken some basic lesson and can now swim breaststroke
trainer was not so pro perhaps a fast buck type

the problem is i can swim the shallow side...still cannot swim at deep ends.... perhaps afraid.

cannot float at deep ends as well

any idea how to learn this or will i be able to improve/swim at deep ends after being a good swimmer(breaststroke) by improving the stamina first?

to improve stamina u need to push urself swim continuously without stop even a second. learn touch turn so that u can continue to swim when reach the other end..

if u can swim breaststroke then shouldn't be a problem to swim at deep side. unless u stop very frequently for breath / rest then definitely u need float. else u don't need float also can swim at deep side..

yea, agree with timetraveller.

to improve stamina, have to push urself swim more and more. I push myself to swim 2km as a standard.

If i have more time, i swim 3km tongue.gif

Love swimming smile.gif

One of my friend who is doing the best among our PD triathlon did 23mins for 1.5k open water swim. He never swim long, only 30minutes workout longest.

He swam interval mostly, eg: set 60 sec / 50m and go everytime ur clock ticks at 60 sec.

I think i would prefer more like a relaxed swim training, come out from the water fresh after 2000m swim.. thinking to drop my swimming class, too much sprinting involved

Dun set a limit for yourselves, try to swim more and more non stop.

I self learning swimming previously also, starting only able to swim few laps. Slowly adapt swim 10laps non stop before take a rest, than 20 , 30 , 40.

Now normally i swim 80laps non stop, try before 120laps but it takes longer time which the club pool will close. So i normally will swim 80 laps, after that will play with dolphin kick swim around.

u have to practise your stamina...don't rest too long in btw try swim continuously..when your breathing is stable then try swim at the deep side...
