K-lite codec pack (codec) and Media Player Classic for general watching.
When I watch fullHD ts/tp files I use Splash Pro EX (not free). |

As for the suggestion to move this thread to Notebook Specific Discussion, IMO it's better to stay like now, we get really many questions and sharing regarding this laptop.
If we move to the subforum I think it'll be dead soon or get into 2nd or 3rd page very soon... |

You can google for Intel RST technology, the mSata SSD caching improves overall performance, it is like a hybrid drive already.
The performance is between a real SSD and a HDD. |
