Just done my screen protector skin on my Tab. That's 1 tough SOB to apply with leakage all over the place and the elastic screen protector. Squigy was very useless if you do this in air-conditioned room as it gets dry too fast.

Now left for it to cure, hope the effect would be good, else I better stick with dry SP next time.

Hmm default means at 50% of the volume?

Thanks!

The notion of being able to install Chrome is a good enough reason to risk flashing the Tab to ICS!!!! thumbup.gif

Hi peeps, Nexus 7.7 v1.3 is Jelly Bean?

How is it compared to CM10, in term of usability? Are everything working?

Except wifi thether
Close to perfect
I prefer it over cm10 by locerra
It is not full jellybean as lack project butter
So far all unofficial jb roms do not have these - sgs note, s3, all tabs

Thanks for the tips. No wonder it's not smooth like on my phone.

Gonna stick with this anyway as the DPI usage is more toward tablet. FB looked much nicer.

Battery life on Nexus 7.7 ROM doesn't look promising. Will keep monitoring for the following few days.

I not sure on the Nexus rom.
If using stock ICS, there is an option to switch off WIFI after some period if your tab remind idle.
By default, this option is set to wifi always on.

Once you enable the option, if you tab is idle/sleep mode (maybe 5-10mins?) the wifi will auto turn off.
Once you wake the tab up, it will auto reconnect back for you.

Mine stuck on 3G after waking up. And the wifi went into "Not detected". I have to switch off my Wifi for a few seconds, then enable it back, then I can connect back the wifi.

That's why the battery life is so bad on this ROM. Both home and office wifi also same. I'll try to reset the Wifi sleep mode, maybe the setting didn't properly saved into the system. hmm.gif

Flashed to CM10. Wifi problem still there on Nexus 1.3, can't bear with it due to tremendous battery drain.

MX Player still doesn't have sound for .MKV file (not sure which audio codec) on CM10. Tested on Nexus 7.7, which was same.

Right now using BSPlayer, which works perfectly, but I still prefer the control from MX Player, which is just perfect. Hope there's an update soon.

VLC Player was playing fine too, but after a while, video and sound were out of sync.

What type of drain are you having
On all the roms I have tested battery life is excellent cm9, cm10, nexus 7.7
It is intact better than hc stock rom

It keeps dropping the wifi and stayed at 3G most of the time. Then even when I left it aside, it was warm (some data activities running in background). Hence battery drops from 60%+ till 14% in a few hours (not using it).

Stick with CM10 in the mean time, seems to work quite similarly to Nexus 7.7, with smoother (?) interface, somehow.

That area inside both red lines, that's where the wifi disconnected and remained in 3G while idling. Compared to the rest, the drain was very bad, despite just left there standing by. doh.gif

Installed BetterBatteryStat, will monitor and see, though I dunno how to read the output.

From the built-in battery stat, it shows that Android OS is keeping the device awake for 7 hours+.

BetterBatteryStat doesn't show anything significant right now, but wifi still keep disconnecting. Already untick "Avoid poor connections".

Perhaps have to revert back to ICS. sad.gif

Exchange Service was keeping the device awake for 7hrs+ since full charge last night. Y U NO SLEEP Exchange Service????

Similarly on my phone but my phone doesn't drop the WiFi, hence battery drain is not as high.
