I got my tab less than a month ago and seems like its starting to lag a little especially when reading The Star ePaper. It lags very badly when I try to zoom, flip, and move the page around. I've already cleared my RAM and closed any opened apps but it still happens. Anyway for me to find out whats causing it or how to fix it?

its fundamental weakness of android. thgs are somewhat improved in the latest firmware, ics but kimchi is taking too long to release the update.

try using custom launcher like go.
it may improve thgs a bit.

to me its sounds like the apps you are using got bug, instead of the whole device.. the best you can do is just do factory reset.. sometime when apps are not properly installed might cause problem to your device also..

I noticed the Browser bookmark widget that shows each individual bookmark. it clears out when i restart the tablet. just says tap to add bookmark. the bookmark i added originally gone.
Anyone else experienced this?

Not really, ics is still heading towards a positive way though.

Get a feel of ICS - test install Cyanogen CM 9 - immediately you will notice very much improved slickness and smoothness of UI. Overall Tab is more responsive
However camera, bluetooth not working yet as still alpha stage

hmm.. I'm getting bored with my tab dy.

as usual, bought a gadget, but never really use it.. i mean, it have a lot of capabilities, but i just use it for web browsing sometime, check email, play FIFA2012 once or twice a week, thats it.. bought 32gb Sandisk class 10, but still empty inside.

ah.. ye of many toys... LOL

Apparently my life pre-occupied by works.

My tab is really working up these days. I used to be able to get my ringtones which was stored on external sdcard/media/ringtone. But somehow ended up with repeated of the title in the ringtone selecting list.
So i tried to clear the media manager cache now only have the ringtones stored in the internal memory
Is it possible to access the ringtones stored on the sdcard? how do i get those ringtones back?
garrrggghh!!!! help please anyone? pretty please???

scratch that. i restarted the tab for the 3rd time and this time they showed up. tempermental la my tabby.

seems like your device's system is a bit haywire.. if it persists, better do a factory reset.

oh shoot. really hv to huh? i was hoping not to. u're right it is really haywire now. i only rooted it to get the sd card write access.
So i do a backup and then do factory reset ya?
Will i lose root access after the factory reset?

p/s it is SUPPOSED TO pick up the ringtones from the sd card right? extstorage/media/ringtones? i used this for my android phone.

try to remove your sdcard and re-insert back... wait until your system finish read your sdcard...

oh oh i tried that and did the gosok-gosok the connections and it works. ringtones show up.

sorry, i meant notification tone. that again from android phone is in the extstorage/media/notification folder.
