I tried before using SD card with camera connection kit. Can't play AVI and MKV format. I already installed ODplayer but still cannot play. So I tried MP4 format, it can play the movie but very lagged, unwatchable. sad.gif

No wonder photographers prefer Android tablets... eject SD from camera, plug into tablet, show customers video and photos.

No, not trolling, just an observation.

However, IPad camera kit is also very good for Photographers.. You can just plug in the SD card or the usb cable directly from the camera, and sync/show the pictures and videos which captures from camera, even do not required jailbreak..

We are here to discuss and knowledge sharing about the advance level tips where you can push your ios device to the limit and work like what android users happy with..  biggrin.gif

First of all, you need to jailbreak, the easiest way is to install RushPlayer+ from cydia. When you plug in the SD card from the camera kit, the link to the sdcard is /var/mnt/mount1. then you just navigate to that path and you are able to play any rmvb, avi, mp4 movie with no lagging and with very high quality output, just like rmvb media player...

If you prefer to use other player, you have to use iFile to create a symbolic link (/var/mnt/mount1/*) to the document folder of your favourite player. Then your player should be able to access to the sdcard content.. same to usb hard disk or thumb drive.. but the file system must be in Fat16/32...  Same technique to use it as share documents for your IOS applications.. meaning all your IOS apps can share the same files or document by creating symbolic link to the various applications document folder...

Hope this helps...

My Ipad already JBed. I will try RushPlayer+ and see how. Hope it will work.

Ya but that requires a separate purchase costing a few hundred bucks. It's a real point to consider.
