About the brake, its depend, if the front, then the pad, if drumbrakes, they already doing countermeasure with vendors supplying the drum brakes n if finalised, the letter will be issue on that matter to replace the drum brakes on flx n flx se. Not all are effected but more than acceptable rate, so, futher investigation from rnd dept n send it to vendors to investigate. Normally on vendors part is the reason for the delay.

Added on May 21, 2012, 10:44 amthe question will raise why is the action is slow? Well, not talking behalf of anyone, but the thing works like this. The new policy in prtn, when a batch is affected, the whole batch will be called back n being replaced the parts even to those that not having the problems. So, vendors have to bear all the cost, so, the will investigate thoroughly to prove that it is in tolerance. Not the whole batch. Every tiny things will be inspect to search for the fault, n make sure it wont reoccur again.

Previously, the changes is only for those affected@have problems, but since exora onwards, the whole batch will be replaced with new one even those are not effected as safety measure the things wont reoccur, even its only involve the sound.

Thats why it is important to service at branch sc if can coz the data will be send to hq and will be cumulated. If send to 3rd party like dealers, it wont be in the systems, so, only a minor report on affected unit.

hi dares, yes, it turn out exhaust problem as stated in ur blog but other also mentioning the dashboard sound which was your initial suspecting on something once upon a time.
may i know is the problem has been fully resolved by exchange the exhaust pipe?
can change at SC instead of COE? cos i stay in johor, no COE here.

my friend today just did 1st service his FLX at COE.. cost about rm180..
he said the SC pasang that magnet thing at oil filter..i think it's magsaver..

izzit worth it..can i ask the SA not to pasang that magnet if i go service my car there? that thing cost RM68!.. i wonder if it really have any effect..

honestly i have no experience servicing car at PROTON SC..especially COE. this is going to be my first time with the FLX..
so, I'd glad if u guys can give advice if there's anything unnecessary that I can avoid during 1st service..

just stick with engine oil, oil filter, gasket plug will do.

typical mentality of a fixed income white collar worker. It was due to them fighting and chasing after positions in the company and when they are earning RM5-9k per month they have HUGEEEEE EGO, and they somehow have the tendency to pick on low income earners to "show off" and at the same time belittle them. And the quick way to know one is low income or not is by asking them what car they drives.

those are real mistakes... I have never wanted to be a clown, only TRYING to be macho all the time There were once the 2 chicks wiping their LBLP, my car was side by side whilst we're washing our ride. I purposely duck down to wipe my engine oil filter, pretend like very machine savvy, then accidentally slipped my left foot whilst getting up, bumped my head on the head lights luckily they weren't paying much attention that time, I quickly throw the wiping cloth & tools into the pail to confused them the knocking sound are actually my tools And yes, most of the time I'm clumsy.

as i survey yesterday by calling to banks, technically most banks now offering relatively 3%+- for 5 / 7 / 9 yrs tenure.
is this consider low interest comparing to 5 years back?
