Although this is an old thread, I thought I would like to share this with forumers.
Lenovo 1 Utama Service center has bad technicians.
One personal experience, repair laptop screen because I broke the screen connector by mistake. I did not ask for warranty.
Waited four weeks for the parts to arrive and this time request for SC technicians to help assemble everything, paid for the repair.
Laptop came back, over screw a screen screw, caused laptop cover to have a bulge or dimple. Do not want to admit technician caused it. Touchpad and two usb came back not functioning at all although previously it was fine.
I waited there for 3 hours. Within that period, technicians were slow, and suddenly all went out for lunch for 2 hours and still does not come back.
And within that same period, close to 10+ laptops were sent in for repair. Problems mostly, no power, cannot boot windows and so on. And as they prepare paperwork for the repair, they have close to no regard for your laptop in order to avoid scratches and so on although the laptop came in for repair was nicely wrapped. After paperwork, put laptop on the floor behind counter that has quite a tight space, potentially stepped on by anyone that did not notice the laptop.
Front desk generally friendly, but have no sense of urgency and care for the customer. Does things fairly slowly.
If you do send in your laptop for repair and you do care for the appearance of your laptop, document everything beforehand or make them document it as well. If they do caused any physical damage, you will have some form of evidence to at least argue about it.
