correction, MG can do more than a RG can.

agreed.

well that's true.. i wasn't quite thinking in other terms besides detail-wise.. so yeah.. RGs mostly only win in details.. MGs win in most other areas laugh.gif

yeah, i agree. RG wins in details, but sometimes i do feel it's a little unnecessary. like RG zaku2 vs MG zaku2 v2.0. the MG looks way cleaner. for some reason i like clean looking gundams. tongue.gif just like how i like my burgers, clean and not soggy.

i'm sure you'd like your burgers with as much extra ingredients as they can give for the price you are paying, right? brows.gif

extra gimmicks yes(extra guns, stands, extra palms aka accessories), extra details(that don't serve much purpose - these include decals), not really. thumbup.gif

i don't like my burgers to be messy and all the extra ingredients are scattered all over. which is why i prefer A&W instead of burger king or macdonalds.

haha, argument was in your favour in the first place tongue.gif but as for newer releases that never saw an MG release, i think it's quite a welcome addition laugh.gif such as Justice, for instance tongue.gif great to go with my RG Freedom

well like many other things, RG and MG have their specific target buyers. no use to compare an RG with an MG. just like it's no use to compare MG and PG. they have different target. RG in 1/100? i think bandai is a lot smarter than that. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi all
May i know where to find below at PJ area? Other than shopping complex.

Hobby kit knife
Where to buy?
price?
Can I substitute this with normal stationary blades?

Marker pen
Where to buy?
price?
Can I substitute this with normal pen ?

Is there huge difference to apply the pen on RG ?
Any chance for you to screw up the lining?

well, 1st stop with the "hobby" knife, "hobby" marker, "hobby" cutter, "hobby" canned burgers and what not. those are just marketing ploy.

cutters: use what ever works and affordable for you. to hell with expensive tamiya cutters. i use wire cutters and nail clippers only.
knife: down with expensive "hobby" knives. i just use what ever pisau lipat i have. as long as it's sharp. kitchen knives works too, the fillet knives la.
marker: normally any CD markers work, if you can find one with small tips. smudges, just use pencil erasers, it's ll come out eventually. what you need are markers that "sticks" to plastics. artline marker doesn't stick that good.

Hi all I bought a black color gundam marker but I am thinking should I invest on gary marker as most part are white which looks better on gray
*
if you have plenty of white gundam, grey would serve you better. i find the water-based grey is best on white stuff. loosely line and wipe with tissue. later when you put flat top coat it'll look like natural stain instead of lining. thumbup.gif

yes those were notorious, but in the case of RG it was aided by the color separation. In the past, the tech is abit crude so the over detailness seems abit force (not to mention the horribly design n seemlines placement) while the RG is abit more natural due to the color separation, parts separation and overall design tey had learn from MG. Actually if u take a look at the Zeta lineart several post above, take a look at the side of the shin, on the MG is smooth while here its abit cluttered. If we photoshop it n giv it a monotone white on that part u will feel its too much, but when given a bit of color separation its turn out not too bad. A simple color separation here n thr would help tremendously for the past kits but unfortunately Bandai nvr figure that out at that time n the trend had shifted to a more simplistic finish.

But the whole point of my post is to challenge Waikin view that MG is no more then a upscale HG and to demonstrate that the level of detail on RG is not new, done b4 in the past n will be done again in the future if the trend swings that way. Which by that point then RG is not as impressive anymore in comparison to MG especially when it coupled with various other MG advantages.

agreed. i don't think that RG zeta will be able to hold against the MG zeta2.0. especially joint wise(being transformable that is).
