QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ May 23 2012, 03:33 PM) Most paint are roughly the same price cuz there is no local distributor, all import either via plane or ship. So in terms of price there are all relatively the same. My 2 cents: I mostly buy from AFHobby but he dont sell MR Color anymore, all his paints are Gaia Notes. In terms of thinner, im not sure whether you can mix between gaia notes and mr color as i tend not to mix different brand thinner and paint, but the paint itself you can spray over one another as both are lacquer base Physical store; Time Machine have quite a large range of MR Color but they dont restock often. The rest of the shop are abit sporadic in terms of their stock + dont have large range of color even if they do restock. I think gaianotes really trumps mr color/gunze. The covering power is really a lot better for gaia paints. Colors are more vibrant too. Mixing paints between brands is fine. I do it all the time. Similarly, mixing thinner in theory should not be a problem too. For mixing ratio, I honestly don't think you can put it down to a number. You might say 6:4 or 5:5 but it really depends on how the paint is like. An old opened bottle which has dried out might need 8:2. As people always say, the consistency of milk is best. If it it too thin, no problems, just cover with a few more layers. All the best! |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Jun 1 2012, 01:44 PM) midgnith is cos that's when even organizers can set up.. if you are submitting something, you'll need to do it either Sunday midnight, or monday morning about 10am or so if i'm not mistaken.. midnight is where the fun (and people) are tho.. you'll get to meet many of the local modellers |

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jun 21 2012, 05:35 PM) Singapore Mid Year Challenge.. i was surprised to see... why not? we have best age this mid year, best wing for year end last year, and if memory serves, best gunpla beginning for last year's mid year. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « BEST UNICORN ENTRY? first time hearing best unicorn has got to be a better category than best age |
