hi all sifus...a question from a newbie... i am assembling a gundam unicorn HG destroyer mode RX-0....
my main question is the panel lining. Since its entire body is white and already has red panels within, do u think its necessary to apply lining on the grooves?
Thing is, I am pretty new to assembling models (hence the HG), and i heard that the official gundam markers are too thick and dark, thus might make the gundam look worse... so is it better to leave it as it is?
Thanks guys.
P.S. I have never done panel lining before.

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jun 21 2012, 03:36 PM) using red for the panel lines on unicorn would be good, since the psychoframe is red, therefore it would enhance the look of it you can use the thicker markers and use paint remover (not thinner as i think that would damage the figure) and clean it up, or get the red gundam markers for about RM10-12 each and panel line it using that.. hope that helped thanks sifu!!...but erm..if u refer to this old article... URL removed They said that the 'official' gundam markers are rather thick, is this true? If I am going to do panel lining, i will use eraser to clean up, is this possible? Hehe...need clarification first because I am a little nervous doing this for the first time... This post has been edited by dead_psycho: Jun 21 2012, 03:52 PM

thanks sifus for the replies!!! i will get the gundam red marker later... but i must try not to over-panel line too much...making it too distracting...
i see that the gundam unicorn destroy mode is pretty enough with those exposed red panels i think...but a little bit more panel lining will be nice hehe

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Jun 21 2012, 04:00 PM) yeap, personally i think unicorn is well designed enough to not need panel lines but that's just my own personal taste.. hehe the unicorn mode may need panel lining though.. as destroy mode already has red to break up the pieces hahaha yea..but still certain parts might need a bit of lining..such as the head of the destroy mode...hmm red marker is preferred over grey then?

hi guys need help...
has anyone created gundam unicorn destroy mode HGUC version before?
I m stuck at step 10... where i need to attach part C7 (part of the wrist) into part 9. It seems that the part C7 is too small for part 9 to enter. i tried pushing it in but its just too tight...i m afraid i might break it.
i hope someone can help asap.. if anyone still has the instruction manual as reference it will be great..else i will post up some photos here soon...thanks!!

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jun 24 2012, 07:35 AM) Make sure you've trimmed the leftover nubs from the psychoframe parts E14-15. There are two nubs at the distal end of the pieces (near where PC6 goes) which could obstruct C7 as you slide the former into the latter. Also check the polycap piece PC9 as it might displaced if you couldn't clip E14-15 together tightly. And since we're on the topic of the Unicorn's forearm, be cautious of the beam tonfa holder. It's held loosely in place between C2 and the tip of C7 solely by friction, and a little nudge is enough to dislodge it especially when it's extended forwards. You might accidentally flick it off if you're not paying attention. Hi thx for the reply. But i have checked and removed all the nubs. It is just that C7 could not enter into the combined E14-15 (which is tight and accurate). Can i send some photos into your email? PM me as I could not attach the photos here. EDIT: Kindly ignore this post. I manage to attach both components by pushing them in very very hard LOL. I m not sure this is the right procedure but as long the parts are at the right place and didn't broke, LOL. Thx alot guys. This post has been edited by dead_psycho: Jun 24 2012, 04:37 PM
