imma a UC fag, so we can never find a fighting scene like this in gundam anime nowadays

Hmm IMHO Gundam series that have good MS fighting scene mostly are OVAs (with Unicorn being the latest example). Maybe the TV series lacks fund?

it's too bad they have annoying main characters although series like Unicorn has some very nice fight scenes too

the bad guys like Zeon or neo zeon or any other bad guys in most gundam series got Mobile Armors of their own like Byg zam, Elmeth, Neue Ziel, Alpha Aizel, Shamblo, etc. then i think back the good guys do have their own MA, like the Dendrobium, tat's the only MA i can think of, or is it even a MA since it's piloted by a gundam lol.

anyways, when i saw this HGUC Dendrobium, suddenly i got rasa to buy one, i dunno the price lol, anyone knows the price for it?
then i can put awsm decals on it as well

About RM 1k (yes i not kidding) + alot of detail u see on that pic alot of them are missing if you do straight build. Also prepare some room for it since it about a meter long.

yeap.. about RM950 and it's only 1/144.. although it will look really amazing if you put a lot of effort into it will be worth your while

don't get me wrong, they have somewhat interesting looking designs, just that the simplicity gets to me.. i don't get much a gundam feel from that series

Not that they lack funds but its more like they need to stretch out their fund to a 50 epi series. A full length series actually get more fund then an OVA but, if it were to be divided by 50, then each epi is considerably less then an OVA epi. Not to mention that they had to put more effort into the beginning epi to giv a positive 1st reaction. As such, depending on how the budget is balance by the production team, we get stuff like flashback epi, recycle animation, lackluster final battle, etc.

OVA has less of these problem cuz, OVA is not their flagship series. If it fails, well they dont lose as much; both time and money. Thats y most OVA u saw are abit more bold, more risk taking. They dont have to waste time developing chars cuz its not important in an OVA. We as an audience, the lest time we spend with a char, the more we tend not to care about their motives and just enjoy the show as it moves along. In such a setting, what give the biggest impression to an audience is flashiness and epic battles. Thats y in an OVA they take extra care in their battle scene cuz thats what sells model kits. Take 0083 for example, gato is just a zeon freak, kou is a crappy spineless pilot and nina is just a b**** but the battle scene is good and as a result we all wanted a GPO2A or GPO1; thats mission accomplish to Bandai. In a full series however, bcuz we as an audience spend a large amount of time with these chars we form a connection with them, if their motives is bland, we tend not to care as much in their battles which leads to crappy battle from our perception.

best example: Seed series. you can even see recycled scenes from the Seed episodes being used in Seed Destiny

I think the production team of Seed, spend way too much into pop idol/stars for their op, ed, insert camo, etc. TM Revo for example, how much do u think they spend on him just so he could appear for 3/4 epi b4 he died. I think its bcuz of their bad budget planning, they had to use so many recycle animation and flashback to balance their budget. If u look at Fukuda other work, its actually not so bad.
