Just want to ask something.
If a cyber cafe is installed with DOTA 2 from Steam, no need to have license from bloodsucking SMM, right?

QUOTE(noobfc @ May 29 2012, 10:17 PM) you still need licensing from e-club for the valve cybercafe program That one I am aware. The e-club licensing should be no problem, but I don't want to hear SMM getting funny ideas about charging a cybercafe for using DOTA 2. Can sue SMM if they even attempt to extort cybercafe running DOTA 2?fees wise, not sure but should be better than SMM |

But I was wondering if SMM had made attempts to ask for money from CC that runs DOTA 2. Perhaps someone had heard stories about it?

I have not heard about SMM trying to get money for DOTA 2, but just want to know if there is such case, what can do to protect from license fee bully.

Good. I saw the eClub licencing for CC, seems better value for money than SMM. Got DOTA 2 again coming soon.

From the feedback I got, most don't like SMM licensing, not even worth the money for the games you get with the license. eClub licensing all the way..!

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ May 29 2012, 11:35 PM) Yep I've been reading about it, and even talk to cc operators. They really don't like SMM, and hopefully eClub will distribute tons of beta DOTA 2 keys to cybercafe out there. DOTA 2 got better graphics, and having better features anyway. |

QUOTE(TehWateva @ May 30 2012, 11:33 AM) For DOTA2 I think nothing solid was announced regarding cybercafe. For now, beta DOTA2 is F2P, the CC maybe a bit grey area. Need to wait DOTA2 is fully released then maybe they can determined the licensing for CC. |
