Cold snap + sun strike is another good combo as well or cold snap + lava minions. Tornado and emp is quite outdated already I'd say. These days people tend to have mana boots one hero or the other. Try tornado + chaos meteor + cyclone from eul scepter then follow on with lava minion and cold snap. Or an easy one would be ice wall + chaos meteor
