Nice pics! Come here more often lol. I like the first pic. I cant really connect with the second tho cuz i dont know the story youre trying to tell with it. It is a nice clear crisp picture tho.

2nd pic kinda random because i like her eyes somehow tongue.gif but bad shot the cat so shy i had to capture from afar.

spoiler when u quote pics bro smile.gif

when i try to imagine compo, i sorta see what i wanna take. and then decide what surroundings i want to give it. instead 'oo interesting' snaps picture immediately. identify your subject and then look at what angles u can take from to help the background supplement the subject. then close eyes and open very quickly. the first thing your eyes notices should be your subject and then the surroundings should enhance the subject.

think of yourself as an artist. if u wanna paint a picture, u wont paint what is unnecessary. likewise, when you take a photo, treat it like a painting. Would a painter paint that into the background. if not, try to take it away.

thats how this noob that is me do it la biggrin.gif. I read an article somewhere. There was this quote : photography as an art, is the art of exclusion. not inclusion.
*
blush.gif
yeah that how it supposed to go but you know when capturing moving object my mind go automated AES camera mode sweat.gif
without me realizing i was instead trying to catch the moment while ignoring all the artistic aspect and just hope for cropping will do. biggrin.gif
bad habit is bad habit.

Was trying to shoot the nendo after purchasing it from forumer.
but then just realized 2 of my yongnuo 560ex flash suddenly not working anymore. both at same time shocking.gif leaving me only with 1 trusty nikon SB-800 flash and A4 paper as reflector.
I wonder if it worth it to repair or just buy new one hmm.gif .

Perfect timing!  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I think I've read before, beetles or flying-bugs tend to take off when they climb to the peak of sticks/branches, that might help in setting up for a shot  laugh.gif

Anyway sifu, just wondering how you got this shot? lol Its alive right?

Wah, very symmetrical and orderly shot, I like it  laugh.gif
UM's one don't even have those pigeon holes lol, sometimes have to slip documents through the bottom of the door  sweat.gif

300mm lenses should allow shots from farther away, but since it also has a farther minimum focusing range, in the end it won't be able to get 1-to-1 magnifiaction. At least that's what I know la haha laugh.gif
Macro lenses have much nearest minimum focusing range, so can shoot both near and far  hmm.gif
*
hmm.gif I never tried proper lens for such shot.

whenever i need a macro shot ill use my 300mm. kinda funny actually like in shooting game. sweat.gif
well that's how poor man do macros. laugh.gif
