i don't use sense because i hate sense. other launcher is much, much better than sense, like you can set your home screen's grid size, and customize your app drawer and your lock screen.

also i got bad experience with sense when my contact is lost.

if you miss some of sense stuffs, you can get almost all sense functionality and widget using third party apps. just ask.

in term of battery and smoothness, if you are talking about stock HTC then any ROM can last longer and run smoother. if you are talking about custom ROM with sense, then as they said in xda forum, you are just being rude. you find a shitty ROM, talk to the OP in their thread.

you can use the same kernel if the senseless ROM is sense base, like smart driod berserk and hypernonsense.

first person just want to buy 1 battery and the second person just want to buy casing. i keep wondering why they are so stupid because they do can buy 1 item and get all others for free, and just pay as low as they want, yet they are not interested.

yes. just enable smart flash in 4ext recovery. you can even flash new ROM. what you cannot do is flash firmware.

no you can't. as what you quoted, you can only flash rom and kernel, and additionally any other apps distributed in zip provided you know what they are. since you can't even tell what viper rom or jb rom is (even with the word rom there), you will brick your phone. literally. you can even use your phone to build a house later when construction material prices go up.

no worry. just look for stock RUU and flash. also, if you follow this thread, some people who send to HTC find out there never check if you are s-off or rooted. you will just get your phone back with 3.2 firmware and stock ROM.

but people do have other problem with their shoddy work replacing the screen.

what's your hboot version? (Shut down your phone, pull battery out, put battery back in, hold volume down Plus power....wait for white bootloader screen)
