When mass update google play apps, does your XE just get stuck "downloading"?

Hey, any recommendations for a dark or black theme for FB, Twitter & Emails? I use these a lot and the clients I have do not have a feature that will reverse the bg colour.
Having lots of white eats up my battery way too fast. |

With the latest update on the HTC stock rom, the phone feels sluggish. Even after restarting and trying to switch or start apps, there's a very noticeable lag.
