Ya, Lightning Rom has limited tweaking options.. I also want to to revert back to Vipers and also want to use Faux Kernel

never tried faux nor sebastian before..

im downloading elegancia v2.7.0...probably give it a go tonight...

Yours shud be stock ICS since your hboot is version 1.27.
You can check your android version at setting>about phone>software information. You will then see you htc sense and android version. 2.3.x is GB, 4.0.x is ICS.

Bro, you can try out these two Custom Sense 4 rom - ViperSs or Elegancia. Both are so far are stable at this moment..

Yes, both are can support Firmware 3.33 .. Well, I m using Vipers Rom V1.1.0 with 3.33 firmware..
One more thing you should know that some of Sensation Devices are running well with ViperSs V1.1.0 with Bricked Kernel which cooked in the rom itself.. some don't as some of the Users in XDA forum mentioned that this ViperS V1.1.0 laggy, reboot often and so on.. It can be overcome by flashing Faux 008v8 v5 kernel or Sebastian Kernal v1.5.2. Well I running am with Faux Kernel 008v12 v3 which this latest.. So far good in term of performance and stability.. I have set my CPU at 1.5mhz the rest are default setting ..

Yes i've rooted my fon but it was on GB when i did it. So that method wont work for your ICS XE.
If you just root your fon, without installing custom ROM, then not much different. Just that you have superuser access now. You can now do things which requires superuser permission.

To feel the difference, you need to install custom ROM. There are many choices of custom ROMs out there...Sense 3.6/4.0 or nonsense...stock look or theme..you can customize your fon according to your preference. I'd say rooting an android device is must! hehehe

Added on August 16, 2012, 10:39 amSince yesterday's afternoon, i've flashed lightning rom and elegancia sense 4.0 v2.70 rom. i was and now on Vipers v1.10. Was just try to experience the other two.
Lightning is fast but very basic. Elegancia for me almost the same as vipers. But tweaking option is not as much as vipers.
Benchmark testing using antutu shows vipers gets a better result compare to elegancia. I did not run benchmark testing on Lightning..just used it for like 10 minutes before revert back to Vipers.

guys.. anyone here changed their digitizer efore? my screen has some scratches on it.. but im doubtfull about changin my digitizer, coz the other digitizer out there im sure it isnt gorrila glass rite?
