actually not that many, just the la-7, mig 15 and su 27 going by uk's 64 issues. i think most will hardly bat an eyelid over the first 2 but it's the su-27 flanker that have got many

Hi to everyone here, this is my Fighter Aircraft Collection so far. I did missed out a few issues due to All Script didn't send it to the bookstore where I ordered this collection from. I called All Script and they say they are not going to restock old issues (that is very disappointing). I hope that some of you here will give me some clue of where can I buy the issues I missed. Thanks

May I know how you guys display all your aircraft collection? I'm still searching for the best way to display it all, not for myself only but for all my guest who come to visit. I want them to be able to enjoy the collection to the fullest.

Mine still got plenty space. I heard that there's total of 52 aircraft, can someone correct me if I'm wrong on this? My cabinet is designed to display more than 52 aircraft.

Oh okay ~ ~ ~ Once finish, I can have extra money already. Hahaha been spending a lot on this. Every issues I get two copies. I even get involved with Build HMS Victory, which I also bought two copies for every issues.     

Same here. Let's see… my commitment at the moment is FAC, Build HMS Victory, SHFiguarts Kamen Riders collections and my car Mazda RX8 loan. Hmmm… basically every month I'm super dry and broke.        FAC and HMS Victory will end soon. So that will be a relieve for my piggy bank.     

My local bookstore asked me if i would like to get the tanks and helicopter. I told them after what I experience from them (missing issues  ), I decided that FAC and Build HMS Victory will be my last orders from them and I will not start on anything else anymore.     

I tried to re-order those I missed from another bookstore. This bookstore staff is damn confident telling me "We can order any issue u missed. 2 weeks. No problems!! Give us your phone numbers and we will call when those issues arrive" Until now… 6 weeks already? Still no news. What a…     

I emailed All Script Malaysian branch long time ago, they never reply me. Recently I emailed their singapore branch and only then got reply. But then again, same case like u, out of stocks already and I asked if there is any chance of re stock, they gave me the s***ty answer "NO, we are not going to restock anymore"     

Now to me it is okay already. Bro WingNut really helped me out. I can purchase any models that I missed. All Script can just send me the balance and that's it. Sayonara. Will never want to deal with them anymore. Unreliable.     

I'm not trying to sound bad here but I have enough of their poor customer services. Seriously if they are going to sell those kind of collection magazines, the least that they can do is make sure all their subscribers get every issues. Half way through collecting, they skip some issues, this is really Bulls*** lorrr to me. What is the point of collecting then? Wasting our money on something incomplete…

... it actually happen to others and that is why I don't get the Formula 1 MClaren Car, Hummer and Vintage Ship when it comes from AllScript distribution for retail buyer. They seems to think that everyone should go to their office or order through post -- then why use retail distribution when AllScript does not wish to commit. Just imagine after spending all the money and you can't complete because the Formula 1 MClaren wheel, Hummer car door or the Vintage Ship sail missing -- I rather don't want to take the risk and spend the money ... when it comes to loosely plane and helicopter its ok with me ...

... Its not that they intentionally want to skip issue or publish them in an inaccurate order, it's because they have sold them out to subscriber or buyer that come to their office. They then push whatever that is left to the retail shop. So, hot issue can be none or even one or two left, after given to subscriber or buyer that purchased directly at AllScript office - they don't care about retail buyer. They should have a percentage cover for retail and direct buying. Whatever that is left is then use for reordering direct purchase, and not the other way round by selling all to direct buyer without a percentage quota in place. This is what is happening to the retail buyer plane collector ...

... Anyway, there use to be some members here updating what issue is located at which shop all around for retail buyer convenience -- but somehow its just not active now ... 

... If any of my collection would jump two number missing, I would just drop the whole collection and round them up to a 5 or 10 number collection. Frankly, not all planes is well done, I am just collecting for the numbering sake, which I can't do it to the assembly collection like Hummer, F! car or Vintage Ship. I will be collecting up to a certain number for the Helicopter and forget about the rest already. Use to be fun, but now its is not. Thinking of Affix or Tamiya now. Don't think its worth the frustration just for collection fun ...

Just to share my experience here with Allscript. Many years back, i started collecting this magazine called Air Combat Collection with models from Italieri i believe (RM6.90 only first issue, subsequently 9.90). After getting tired of chasing issue after each issue around town, i went to their HQ(old HQ before they shifted) and made a subscription. Mind you, back then their HQ is just a two level factory lot with the office upstairs, and stock storage downstairs. So i was told that if i want the models fast, i could place a subscription and will be notified when the magazines arrive to go straight to the office to collect.

And so i agreed to go to the office to collect direct, instead of having to wait further for the items to be delivered fortnightly via post. And what a mistake that was to rely on them.

1. They NEVER EVER called to notify me. I have to make calls monthly just to ask if the new stocks have arrived.

2. Towards the end of the issuance, i was busy and was away from KL. Thinking that a subscription would secure my issues, i waited for them to call me to notify me when the stock arrive. However, the call never came. And when i'm back in KL, i went to the office to collect the last 6 issues. To my DISAPPOINTMENT, i was told they ran out of two issues because they fully sold them out! What the hell! And to top it off, i was told they couldnt restock because the factory was burnt down in the UK where the mag is published. I couldnt verify to this day if their bullshit is true. What i know is i missed out on two planes (one of which is the AH-1 Cobra which i really liked) which i saw other collectors have. This remains a very sore point in collecting this series.

And this has made me shun Allscript ever since, which is also the reason why i have never collected anything related to allscript ever again, this FAC series included.

However, when i saw the Helicopter Magazine brought in, i was tempted again (one reason is because the AH-1 and AH-64 is in the series, which i left out from Air Combat Collection). Deep inside, I hoped Allscript improved to be better after all these years, but having seen your comments, i have a gut feeling i'm in for another round of Allscript's bullshit again. Case in point is when i have Issues 1-3, but somehow am still struggling to locate issue 4 even after the so-called 'fortnight' period.

I do hope that fellow collectors here just keep a lookout for each other since we're in this together, whether we prefer retail purchase or subscribing.
