QUOTE(strikermac @ Jul 24 2014, 11:10 AM) No, Mum were say: "Go find a GF lah!" spend on GF... OK, off topics too much. Anyway really nice aircraft collection for sure. you mean go find REAL gf aiya, me only collector... didn't assemble any. even simple assembly also i already most of the time spent arranging and rearranging the models. i really don't like the current display arrangement... can't really appreciate the individual aircraft. looks too congested with 20+ models per shelf and some had to go without their display stands. will probably get another detolf to display the witty wings to free up the billy space and spread out the fighter aircraft collection... or get rid of some of my helicopter collection. raya project, perhaps...

QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Jul 24 2014, 01:49 PM) U still can adjust the shell slightly smaller and add in additional shell to create more space to display ur collection. For ur infor, each Billy book case i custom it into 12 level which originally only 6 level. Sample of 12 level billy book case with custom glass shell. your collection never ceases to amaze me! yups... gotto get some custom glass shelves for my billy and detolf. tapi tempered glass cannot custom cut right?

hmm... dunno why ikea didn't come out with glass shelves for their billy series. hemnes tempered glass shelves are only rm10 for a 44x29. anyway, you drilled extra holes above and below the hinges, huh? i kinda wondered why ikea never did, but i supposed it was for installation convenience.
anyway, back to topic... where are the rest of your fac??? looks like 8 models only?

QUOTE(zemperor @ Jul 24 2014, 02:27 PM) haha it should be 'the black one that in front of the B2' thanks for the info but i guess it won't be cheap to get it from ebay... and no magazine too... just have to patiently wait for the giant warplanes to malaysia market... the right side especially saber looks more interesting to me from ebay average slightly above us$20/model (incl shipping) so yeah, more than double the fac retail price. but i think if you're willing to pay a little bit more (around us$5) you could choose to get the models from amercom-hobby which comes with the magazine Amercom-Hobbyoff topic... there's another saber further right

QUOTE(zemperor @ Jul 24 2014, 02:56 PM) haha only see the white saber from the picture off topic... saber triumphant excalibur (blue saber) not in pic. QUOTE thanks for the link each model is different price, about 17.50€ each... so it will about RM70++ each issue, right? even more if add on shipping cost... €17.50 is for the big bombers. most of the other giant warplanes €14.00. as for the fac models... only €10.90 la. and no, i don't work for amercom-hobby. hehe. anyway, better to save save save then one shot hantam a dozen or more to save on shipping cost rather than beli sikit-sikit. anyway now that bro blu3hamm3r has given me ideas to increas my display space, i may be tempted to get more italeri models...

QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Jul 24 2014, 03:33 PM) Ikea name it as Billy book case mean it made for book storage. Glass shelve cant stand for book load as the length and width of the cabinet is so big. 44x29 inch? Excatly same as ikea shelve sizes? Yup, i use hand drill to drill extra hole in order for me to install the glass holder plug. This picture took few years back. Lot of changers compare to now....hehe.... true... true... billy is bookcase, not display cabinet. but even then the shelves will sag over the years. 44x29cm la... to fit the hemnes series. if inches is super huge, bro. you use glass shelf plugs? me thinking of using the existing shelf holder plug enclosed in pvc tubing to prevent the glass from moving. back to topic... post your latest collection now la.

QUOTE(MikeSAS1992 @ Aug 13 2014, 06:25 PM) according to my dealer it's from a brand called IXO. and this su34 is originally released exclusively for the russian market. wah... i thot ixo only does model cars. perhaps the su34 was a commissioned commemorative edition/corporate gift?

QUOTE(MikeSAS1992 @ Aug 23 2014, 11:25 PM) about RM300-RM400. still got two more models haven't arrived yet. average how much per model? if it's less than rm45/model inclusive of the magazine, then it's a real bargain. the oz fac retails at aud14.95...

QUOTE(MikeSAS1992 @ Aug 24 2014, 02:38 PM) Yup. BTW, i saw that you collect a lot of planes from the Giant Warplanes Collection right? IF one day allscript brings that collection in, will you be pissed? lol yeah, got quite a few... a6 intruder, f111 aardvark, f117 nighthawk, sr-71 blackbird and b2 spirit. no la... won't be pissed. we live in the present and my purchases are based on present circumstances. if i could wait for the gwc to be introduced, then i would... but i suppose i can't, so i didn't. no point living on "what ifs", i guess

QUOTE(MikeSAS1992 @ Sep 1 2014, 09:20 PM) Hey wingnut, when u bought your items and when they arrived in malaysia, do you have to pay any duty and what company sends your items to your house? i've been pretty fortunate that so far only one parcel has been detained thus far... but not for a diecast airplane. i think the major consideration for customs to inspect the parcel is the size of the box, not the price (i've had many parcels costing more than rm500 shipped in without problems). the one that got detained cost just slightly above rm500 but the box was HUGE. i think the local partners are usually pos malaysia... but there has been other eds providers too. i don't think using a particular eds will determine whether your parcel gets detained or not. hope this helps. amazon's price seems reasonable... and free shipping is always a plus for us here in malaysia.
