Alright. This is a bit awkward.
I wish that I could have as much help as I could to clear the mist I'm encountering.

I'm a former Sub-Science student, and currently i'm taking Form 6 in a school i was selected to continue my studies.
I already passed up the school transfer documents on the first day of registration of Form 6, which is last week. And the decision would be known next week.
I wish to take Art subjects, partly is because of I wish to take Law in the future, and partly is because of I wish to have a backup plan in case I wouldn't or couldn't.
I applied for stream changing this week, and currently i'm in the Art classes, while the final decision of whether I could succeed in stream changing would be released in June. Though i will succeed in this stream changing 100%.

This is the situation I'm having, and below is the question I'm having.

If, my school transfer succeeds, (which is considered a bit slim this year considering that there are a lot of students taking Form 6.) I'll be in the new school, but I know I would be placed in the Science stream. But I don't wish to continue in Science since my passion is directed to Arts.
I am confused, and a bit afraid that if i applied for stream transfer in the school, they wouldn't agree to it since I've heard this year the number of student in that stream is A LOT.

I would like to ask if the condition i feared is possible or not, and that if I really did end up in that situation, could I back up and go back to the former school i was offered?

Sorry for the amount of blabbering, but I would love to have some help with this.

Thank you.

Go private.
I did mine at a reputable centre, got a good result. Got into one of the top public U and graduated.

The cost? it's cheaper than you pay for your after school tuition fees. thumbup.gif

Okay, we all know how inefficient the govt is when it comes to documents. i have some friends who plan to do the exact same thing as you and I'm not really sure, but they applied for the stream change AND school transfer at the same time based on what their teacher recommended them. I see no logic in this tbh but that might be because I'm not there and therefore don't know the whole story.

What I would (strongly) recommend you to do is to go to your Jabatan Pelajaran and appeal personally with your parents for the transfer as well as the change of stream. For Selangor, it's in Shah Alam. PM me if you want the full address.

My school (Samad) already started lessons, so you better handle this quick or you'll be in deep shit if you don't catch up in time. Remember, it's a new format so don't miss anything out.

Yes I do understand that.
But when I was filling in the school transfer documents there wasn't a part that indicates for stream change too.
I understand that stream change is done within the school, but may I know how did your friends actually changed stream at the same time?
And yes I'm following the Art classes now. So the problem now is that of the following and of whether I could go back to the original Form 6 school if I couldn't get the stream I want in the other.

I don't like not being in control over things, that's why I like to settle things myself by going to the govt office. Especially for something as important as this.

I believe my friends filled up both the Change Stream form as well as the Change School form. Not to sure about that though. They're not online now, so I can't help ask the for you.

However, I really don't think it's possible to change school twice. I've never heard of anyone who did that before, so I assume it isn't possible.

Sorry I couldn't help much =/

why don't you apply for stream transfer first before school transfer?

as far as i know, change of stream need to be done asap.. school transfer anytime

because my friend applied for school transfer during upper 6 (last minute) and she got it

if you want things to be fast, head to jpn and they will lead you, don't depend on your school because it will take ages
