Noble shelter
Pros:
- has very high armor
- has 2k more dps compared to the other chest
- has life regen, is this higher than normal ? Why else is the vendor price so high o.O;

Cons:
- no vit
- not as good resist as the other chest ( a staggering 70 all resist)



Tracker device
Pros:
- has a staggeringly high all res of 70 and all relevant stats for a dh such as vit, dex, 3 sockets ... basically the ideal stats for a dh chest

Cons:
- lower dps (by 2k to be precise) compared to the other chest
- doesn't have the life regen the other chest



My question here is, which chest should i use for my DH ? Is -2k dps and high armor really worth 70 all res ?

Because i have a tank poison monk who could probably make use of that noble shelter. what do you guys think ?




So far my dh strategy for minimal defense was to have high armor, rather than all res. But now i'm not too sure

update:

k i read it. so your saying all res also adds toward armor ? ( as in it will also somehow reduce damage from physical sources as well ? )

my simple understanding is this.


armor = reduce damage from all sources, ranged and melee dps.

all res = only reduces damage from magic spells only (resists like poison etc only effect for that 1 particular spell effect only). It does not reduce damage from physical damage

So is my assumption correct on this ?

Is there some sort of calculator so i can put in the all res, and armor to compare gears to know which is better ?

PS: my other question. is that chest good enough for my monk tank who is poison resist ? or should i look elsewhere ? :/ i don't have much gold so if it's good enough, i rather just use that.

i die less with the tracker device. e.g. sometimes i don't use my cloak fast enough, and get hit by fireballs. before i would instantly, but now i can take a few hits. so i do think the tracker device is better. slightly lower dps, but more well rounded
