You need gears for A3/A4.
Why buy gears for A2?

I used to buy gears up to A2 for my 1st hero.
I didn't know how big difference it was between A1/A2 and A3/A4.
I learnt my lesson. High switching cost and those gears were useless for A3/A4.

No, I don't do that now.
I always buy gears for A3/A4 once I reach LVL60.
I want to do it once and for all. And I want to reduce unnecessary switching cost.

This is why I advised people to get A3/A4 gears.

I guess that is the minimum requirement.

I have 55K DPS / 3.8K Armor / 650 AR / 41K HP / 700 LOH (unbuffed stats).
Just cleared A2 - A3/Turning the tide last night.

P/S You need to calculate the stats you want to achieve (i.e. DPS/Armor/AR/HP etc).
Then only you get the gears you need.

Very impressive life regen.

So you change bow when you need higher DPS?

My 3rd hero, DH, just completed Inferno.
Going to move on to either Wiz and WD.

No need to skip. DH is quite easy to clear with tanker in the team, just hate the fast/teleport and mortar elites.

If you use 2-hand crossbow, the damage is quite consistent and stay near to your DPS most of the time.

P/S With hungering arrow, I killed 8 monsters in one shot at A3 Breached Keep.
So, it could deliver more damage than your DPS (shown in information page) when critical hit triggers.

You have very good DPS.
Pretty good armor and DEX.
HP (30K) and AR (400) are a bit on the low side.

However, I still believe you should not have problem to clear A3/A4.
Do you play co-op?
If you have a WW Barb and a Monk in your team + Wizard, you should be able to clear A3/A4 pretty fast.

Oh, if this is the case, you can keep your current gears without needing an upgrade.
You don't need to upgrade if your current gears can do A3/A4. That's good enough.

Meanwhile, you can move on and try other heroes (so that you won't feel boring playing the same character again and again).

Err... it can't slow down monsters and cause damage anymore (i.e. jagged spikes)?
