From the short stint I had with the open beta...the wizard feels really different somehow.

QUOTE(narf03 @ May 16 2012, 05:22 AM) lv 19 too, hard to kill santa b4 it portal away, even there are no other enemies around and able to surround him to the corner, i think my damage maybe too low. Anybody know how to calculate damage for wizard's spells ? ie magic missile and chain lightning. Damage calculation on the skill itself no? If not just head over to the official D3 site. It'll tell you the percentage of weapon damage a particular spell does.Yes. The damage is based on weapon QUOTE(jenniferjen @ May 16 2012, 10:03 AM) Just heavy int invest and you should be fine with wiz in normal at least for not, never use a pot before so far..... You mean wearing int-boosting items, or have they changed it so that you can personally level up int? QUOTE(Becabal @ May 16 2012, 10:58 AM) Dual wield? No. Two-handed weapons, yes. The staff is two handed isn't it? Heck, I've equipped a bow before |

(60) All this is based to my play style. Added on May 16, 2012, 11:33 am haha for early levels yes... later a wand + orb or tome will give more dmg Btw, at what levels will we be able to get our hands on the orb/tome. I'd access the D3 site myself, but it seems to be taking forever to load - for some strange reason. QUOTE(TiF @ May 16 2012, 12:11 PM) Question regarding MF. Is it advisable to do this from an early stage? Since you'll be sacrificing quite a bit just to get more MF. Should MF gear be saved for a particular level/foe? |

QUOTE(dynames07 @ May 16 2012, 12:22 PM) i think MF gears are very useful. my aim wearing this is to make sure i get a lot of magic items. after that, i'll salvage all unused item to get the subtle material and tooth. this thing is the material needed to carft later on. so, better start collecting now QUOTE(phoenixxx @ May 16 2012, 12:30 PM) yep, i actually ditched the more dmg-centric builds and go for MF and GF now... up until the game starts to get too difficult I see. Hmmm.. Thanks for the inputs |

Damn. I'm only at level 11
Guys, what are your thoughts on this: I'm currently using Original Wirt's Leg. Despite it's low damage, I find the 10% MF to be VERY attractive. However, I deal damage like a school girl who just had a break up and has no access to sugary stuff. Think I should just stick to my leg, or should I screw the 10% MF in favour of better damage? I'm inclined for the former, but everytime I wanna switch, I find a blue item. |

QUOTE(samlee860407 @ May 18 2012, 02:59 PM) IMHO, +10% MH at starting don't help much, since you are just on normal mode, the item that drop won't be superbly good might as well get + damage item, kill faster, go in to hell or inferno mode, then only pray for high +magic item to drop QUOTE(kanethesun @ May 18 2012, 03:22 PM) yea, sam is right, +MF in early / normal mode would not get you superior items, might as well farm faster and lvling 1st now Noted! Thanks guys So I guess I'll revert to my better spec'd items. How bout int vs vit. Coz 5 int gives you damage boost less than 1%, while 5 vit gives you 50 life. Thoughts? |
