How much damage you guys deal for Electrocute? Which skills INT affect better?

I only get around 50 damage for Electrocute at lvl 19.

I solo final boss with wizard using

- Diamond Skin - Activate this when you're in pinch or you want to combo with Disintegrate.
- Magic Weapon -
- Hydra - Bosses hurts alot from this. Really.
- Disintegrate - Main skill to kill boss.
- Archon - When the boss is dieing use this at a far distance and use your laser.
- Teleport - Tele away whenever your diamond skin is on CD

My weapon is a double handed wand around 67dps + 15% increase damage + add life per kill + other stats.

My total damage is 804. (with Magic weapon up) - this is not included my INT. INT is around 700. So, magic has 700% increase damage.

Wiz is of course weak. If you feel like you're dieing too much, throw your INT armor and get those with + VIT (around 60+) which will give you about 1k health.

That's is true that +Str increases your armor. But, wizard have a skill called Energy Armor which increase your Armor by 65% and I still find it useless because I still need Diamond skin to survive.

Just IMO, wizard don't really benefits from the extra armor. It's better for you to go for Shield with a decent 'damage block'. I have over 1500 armor with Energy Armor but I still die easily without Diamond skin.

Well this is for Solo mode btw (:

Oh yes I do that too early in the game (: Well you're right. With a tanker, those extra armor are benefitial. Less damage receive, more survival survivability since you don't need the extra health, its better to go for armor.

On a side note, Wave of force deals out a crazy amount of damage. Especially chances on getting critical magic hit. Anyone notice?

There is a rune to increase it by 20. I find that is more then enough to spam double meteor.

HP is not that all to it. Once you reach a certain level, you would've a familiar with ancient rune, energy armor with energy tap rune, meteor with comet rune, Diamond skin with enduring rune- around 1.8k armor + 1500 damage + 1000 int + proper critical hit damage increase items = 9-12k damage of meteor storm. you will be awesome in nightmare smile.gif - lvl 49

Lvl 25 you would be able to use it. As for the runes level 29, 34, 43, 48, 58.

I solo without any mercenaries. (reason because I usually play with a team of 4 with my buddies) - Solo if only they're not around.

I find it pretty much good with this skill build. One thing because I deal tons of damage with Meteor and Disintegrate and I able to teleport away + clones everytime needed.

Eg : A mob trying to hit me, I teled away with clones distracting him I cast Meteor + Disintegrate. When he tries to go for me, I activate Diamond skin + Disintegrate (usually this finishes it) if you're hit - usually bosses in nightmare or hell mode or inferno will deal you more then 15% damage to you per hit this immediately reset your teleport skill so you can teleport again and repeat all the steps

2 hand weapon are usually stronger then 1 handed. Unless you found a good 1 hand weapon with a strong DPS. Wizard need Damage over Int so more damage more powerful your spells will be. But never neglect your INT of course (:

You can use any weapon as long it is strong biggrin.gif

But of course the wizard style is Wiz Hat + 1 hand staff + Source

Whatever you see in the item description is your damage.

Thou they said with 2 handed hand weapon your aspd is slower thus your AP consume is lesser then 1 handed weapon.

Exactly my build right now but I did it without using the signature spells + arcane recovery per attack. Its viable and I believe it will works even more wonder if I added the signature spell as well.

Thou I'm using it in Inferno mode it should be a lot better in Hell.
