How to get the wizard offhand equipment anyway? Like the orbs or spellbook thing...

I notice its very expensive in the AH. Is it only found at higher difficulty mode?

Anyway I just started Wizard, so really noob here and got some question.

I'm surprise to find that the Wizard primary attack skill is close up for the slashing skills that can attack multiple monster. Almost like melee attack, which get me into trouble when large mob swarm around me

So should I just stick to the long range single attack? Or should I get equipment to boost defense and increase life?

Want to ask, the basic HP each character have is the same for everyone right?

Meaning to increase it, we need to get items that add a lot of vitality?

I use shield as I usually fight close up, so I use shield for more defense

Book should have better stats for damage.

Finally complete my Wizard in Normal mode, so much more easier than Barbarian. Diablo first attempt only win already. My Barbarian had to try so many times
