Im also a DPS and tanker wizard.

8.5k armor, 800+ All Resist, 31% block 3k-4k dmg. No problem can tank elite in act 2-5 already.
Finally i understand it need shield to block if u have +block% in ur items. such as helm of command.

but u need crit mass passive with diamond skin.

Inferno act 1 ,I farm like hell just repair. My all armor almost 31k,my wizard damage13k armor 7600 within energy armor i was press hp20k regeneration per second life 1550 do u all think i inspect any problem?

DPS = 15k is good
Armor = 5k is good already
AResist = 500-600 is good already

I try to change my skill first, Cos I ply always solo somemore until my armor crack repair almost 31k freaking off me..framing not enough to repair lol....

Why you guys so big tank. I clear entire act 4 map with just 3000 armor 23k hp and 300 res

u superduper high dps & vit?
i play tank cos its damn fun.
and also i dont have enough $ for good dps gear yet. very expensive

47k dps only. Just high mf

btw what is ur build ? crit chance+crit damage build ?

farming act 2 is it worth it ? kulle story bro, seems nice.
cause chii have been pewpewpewing act 1 for 1 week....with almost 0 death, well some due to like a bawse attitude.

yea crit chance, crit dmg, mf build.

im not very sure, but it does seem as if act 2 and act 4 drop more amulet/rings... while act 3 drop more armor/weapon gears.

i can be wrong but it does seem to be that way by luck or by design.

btw do you wiz tankers think this is a good item for you? please see file attachment
i searched for this with crit chance... and it seems like a very rare item heh.

I just dont like keep dying, since some of the attack we cant dodge.
But now i think i sacrifice too much damage for defence, might sacrifice bit defence for damage.

is it better to buy

a) 986dps weapon with 266-638 element dmg OR
b) 986 dps weapon with 204 min dmg + 301 max dmg

or both the same bcos both is 986 dps? btw both is a wand

What are the other stats on these? 204-301 matching the dps of a weapon with 266-638 means it either has a bonus % to damage, or it has increased attack speed. If you want proper advice it's best to post the full stats.

hello new to the forum and this will be my 1st post yoroshiku~

Ive seen the crit build tanking with crit.mass passive and frost nova build and tried it myself. Can face tank most elite but stuck on shielding affix as when the bubble is up frost nova wont freeze them so was wondering how ppl handle these guys. Also had problem with the wasp thing in act 2

My stats currently looks like this
Crit chance:20%
All resist:600 ish after prismatic armor
Armor:6k
DMG:19k~
life /sec:400~
LoH:200

Skill used
Spectral Blade: the healing rune
Meteor : Star pact
Prismatic armor
magic weapon: life steal rune
Diamond skin :double absorb
frost nova :reduce cd
(sry didnt remember the skill name )

Crit chance/LoH is low but want to see if i can do this playstyle correctly before investing more gear into this playstyle. Can clear inferno act1 no problem other than the shielding affix type but have trouble in act2 again with the same affix n the wasp , not sure how to handle these guys

You kite, basically. Shielding aint the worst yet at least there is timer for that. What about Invulnerable minions? Sometimes being tank does not mean stand and whack.

People don't use starpact now, try energy twister > wicked wind + AP on crit helm.

The return AP is so much that you can ignore signature spells totally. (might get nerfed in the near future tho)

I tried and it worked. You won't see the crit dmg but it's there.

Being a wizard tank is awesome and fun. If your gears are beefed up so well, with barb and monk's buffs, you could hit 1500+ resist all.

Yeah invulnerable minion is bad, hm guess more practice with this build then since been playing with blizz/venom build for so long now.

Notice u mention that i wont see the crit dmg meaning the dmg will show in white color? but its still crit n procs critical mass? cause notice some spell never show yellow(crit dmg)dmg so thought some spell cant crit.

Yeap. When energy twister > wicked wind hit targets only white dmg appears. But your AP is filling up fast. You know you're doing crits.

I say at least get around 25 - 30 crit % to be effective.

If you like to experiment, try frost nova > +15 crit % when hit 5 targets rune (Deep freeze rune).

When hitting a large pack of elite/rares, especially those with illusionist, they're basically frozen the entire time while surrounding you because your nova refreshed in a split sec. Lol.

didnt manage to copy the entire list stats..but i m sure there is a +%dmg..cant remeber now..

and cant find back the weapons anyway..

just a fast question element dmg better or min + max dmg better ? if both weapon dps are roughly the same

element is just aesthetic, has nothing to do with the weapon's dps.. except cold which has the numbing effect.
