I'm sharing the build I'm using right now.

DPS : 47.37k unbuffed
LOH : 1.3k
Life steal : 5.5%
Move speed : 24%
crit chance : 28%
Resist all : 379

Nothing I can't kill in inferno so far. Still optimizing for quicker run on farming.

Not sure whether it's because of ur play style or ur gears.
but your loh seems to have more than 1k so that's not a problem. But u are lack of life steal which plays a big part when ur dps is higher. A lot of WW players like Alkaizer and Kripparian drop their health and armour (sometimes AR) to get more DPS. This is because life steal tends to create more chance for getting more than the usual 1k plus health gen. For example, each time my barbarian use sprint with 24% move speed it can create more than 5-6 tornado on path. each one ticks for around 10-20k damages. each one got 5.5% of life steal. each one adds 550-1100 life per tick. my barb got atk speed increase by 14%, i roughly remember that there'll be about 15-18 ticks per sec (just rough estimated). I can always see my character gains nearly 6-9k health per sec (saw the numbers in green ticking).

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6037344497?page=1

I used to have a lot more health like for 45k and above. but since I've got more move speed with tyreal's might I figure maybe I can try to survive on 35k and rely on more dps and more health gen. So far so good, just occasionally died out of careless mistakes (many times due to lag) or ultra crazy elite (still can kill with a bit of patient).

btw, i've check your gear. I've used a similar gear like yours to cleared inferno before the 1.0.4 patch. it was the time when inferno was harder. I don't think you should stuck at act3.

Maybe the problem is your move speed. or your fury pool.... and life steal.

Hope this helps.

Only 20% from 5.5% only la.. If your damage 20k total life steal is 220 only right?

Excuse me for not doing my math correctly.
Well... I just based on my rough estimation that every tick I can see on screen with crit hits is around 10-30k per tick. and each second has got potential for 15-20 ticks. I usually have more than 50% crits (more when in WTOB). So if there's half of the ticks is in crits so it's roughly about 7.5 ticks per sec with crits.

if each 15k crit damage (average) gives 20% (efficiency) X 5.5% life steal. It's about 165 life per tick.
It's about 1237.5 for each sec.

I get to create 5-6 tornado with 24% move speed.
if all of it can hit monsters at the same time (usually by running in circle around monsters) we can get 6187.5 life per sec.

Let alone we haven't put whirlwind in to equation yet. I can't tell the exact calculation for it but definitely higher than sprint alone. And there's life on hit that is around 1.3k comes in to play when my WW or Sprint tornado doesn't hit enough.

When I watch my screen i usually can see my life pool filling up at the rate of 6k above easily at the odds of sometimes to tornado might miss the target and etc.

Somewhere up there in calculation might not be 100% accurate but if I can do azmodan act3 run and diablo act4 run easily I think I don't have to elaborate too much on the life steal and life on hit part. Test it yourself and I'm sure u'll see what I mean. I used to just have loh and later on finds out that life steal can be quite effective.

well... in WOTB mode, the dps would buffed to nearly 75k. Lot's of fun to play if u ask me.

Due to equipment pricing for barb, i gear for lifesteal, LoH and life regen, in that precedence. It makes my gearing much much more affordable. Gear that usually no one wants, end up being quite potent when put in combination.  tongue.gif

I do agree on that. But I sort of given less attention to life regen. Can't have all 3 of this at the same time. Further more I've got obsessed with 24% run speed. I still got some items that I can stack my loh to 2k but I'm more interested to go with half loh and another half from life steal. I felt that life steal scales well with higher dps.

Pricing for immortal kings shoot up the roof thx to alkaizer. Everybody is like trying to carbon copy him now. Oh well... we still can try other method to achieve this by alternating our gears. But seriously IK's set adds 60 of AR. I'm hoping to get IK's iron and IK's tribal binding or IK's stride.

There's 1 thing that I believe is we don't have to overgear our barb. getting more of those legendary is more like luxury than practical.

He has 35.6K HP. I think it is okay for Inferno.

Looking at his skills set, he is a WW barb.
His armor and damage are just nice.
Abit low on the AR.
Yes, I think his LOH/Life regen/LS do help him.

got dodge or block?
i guess this build hard for act 3.
act 1 and 2 still manageable.

Well... I think you are not so well informed about the WW barb.
Anyway, I've cleared inferno b4 1.0.4. with an older build.
I don't understand why I can't face roll act3 and 4 now? LOL.....

Each elite group usually takes less than 3 mins. some elite groups takes less than 50sec. 3 mins usually is those with Fire pool, firewalker, AS, vortex. Still die when i'm not careful or lag but it's not as bad as some ppl say I can't play act3 or 4.
It's more than manageable.

I'm not saying that my barb is the best. we are all working our way to be better along the way. but I just wanted to dispute that I can farm with my build in act3 and act4.

to prove my point I've made a quick video record with the limited gears I have here. Macbook pro 15" and a Magic mouse. I don't have my gaming gears I have in the office right now. sigh...

got a pc beside me with gaming spec but I hate to use windows for video recording.

I died once due to my magic mouse jammed when I was trying to whirlwind. and occasionally jammed somewhere with other mobs. But as u can see I can kill azmodan painlessly. Maybe it's still not the most efficient way, but i didn't kite much in the way that I've played.

It didn't took me 3 mins for each elite, usually my estimation comes in a little modest to try not to over estimate myself. and usually if it does it's usually those elite that kite and teleport a lot.

It's interesting that we all have different theories about building barbarian. I guess that's the beauty of this game though.

Cheers.

Fixed the video clip for you.

You can see your HP drained pretty fast when it came to desecrator/fire.
You need to WW+kite  to look for health globes.
You might have more problem if you encounter desecrator + arcane + plague + jailer.

Yeap, it is manageable for me. Doable for sure.

Yeap, generally you can WW with 20K DPS (the more the merrier).
The difference is it takes a longer time to kill the monsters.
(high LOH should keep you alive).

no worries.
I just can't stand the harsh comment that earlier.
