QUOTE(Patchy @ May 21 2012, 09:58 AM) Hey guys, few questions for u all... -Don't think exp is shared though. You can always try and check the exp bar manually with and without the follower.- If i use a follower, does my Exp get cut by half to share with him? - notice most of u all go for 2H / 1+1H. Not many ppl use shield? I'm level 28 on Normal and been trying to use 1+1 so far, but when comes to boss or party i sometimes swap back to shield. I'm having trouble with Belial now though, whether in a party or whether with shield or without. Tips please?? -Sword and board is needed for later levels. I feel that in Hell I need to swap to sword and board. The damage is insane. Belial is kinda tough. Maybe you are underleveled or using the wrong skills. Maybe you can post what skills you are using? Added on May 21, 2012, 10:06 am QUOTE(Patchy @ May 21 2012, 09:58 AM) Hey guys, few questions for u all... Just googled this lol.- If i use a follower, does my Exp get cut by half to share with him? - notice most of u all go for 2H / 1+1H. Not many ppl use shield? I'm level 28 on Normal and been trying to use 1+1 so far, but when comes to boss or party i sometimes swap back to shield. I'm having trouble with Belial now though, whether in a party or whether with shield or without. Tips please?? How to Kill Diablo 3 Belial with Barbarian The Barbarian, even though is a very stout and tough character class, is still subject to Belialβs ferociousness. Make sure to have an extra emphasis on survival/ vitality. Make good use of healing skills for extra survivability. Skills such as Revenge, Nerves of Steel, Ignore pain with emphasis on vitality will help keep you alive. Frenzy is an excellent single target attack for killing Belial. Threatening Shout and Battle Cry are useful to use as well along with Inspiring Presence for extra heals. This post has been edited by fiqqyz: May 21 2012, 10:06 AM |

QUOTE(don^don @ May 21 2012, 10:10 AM) guys, advice for skill usage for nightmare? i'm using bash with stun rune. i love cleave and frenzy but they're just not good enough for killing those long hp mobs. Cleave is your best bet for mobs. With the explosion, you can clear it in no time. So far I find bash is not a really good option. Frenzy is way better than bash. Always have Revenge with you and maybe add Ground Stomp.and advise for passive skills plz. lvl 40. i've got 1.2k dps with 9k hp. i dunno how my fren get higher dps (1.5k) with 11k hp, but he same lvl with me. As far for passive skills. It really depends whether you're not dishing enough damage or having issues surviving. |

I've tried those skills you mentioned except the threatening shout and battle cry..will give it a try. Also trying call of Ancients, but doesn't do much does it..? No problem I find the nukes are the hardest part..no matter how i run somehow i still get hit. After bout 3 hits its game over..lol. Cooldown for pots is so annoying!! |

QUOTE(-TrUnKs- @ May 21 2012, 02:08 PM) oh which act are u atm? Just started Act 2. Level 55. Stats, I will post later. Now at office. what level? stats? i can tahan normal mobs but not those elites they got those stupid freeze/laser/fire_floor lol and they come in pack lol since all the good items come from these ******* i dowan to skippp Yeah man the elites are a pain the arse. But you have to kite them. Cannot just charge in and hope can tank all the damage. Skills are half the battle. You need alot of resistance items if you want to hold it off. Can try this build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barb...;UbV!cabccZ ![]() |

QUOTE(-TrUnKs- @ May 21 2012, 02:28 PM) eh same like my build la haha same level also What to do man? Have to kite abit. Unless you get GODLY items. but kiting is sooo not barbarian lol plus the ignore pain is like 5 secs onli.. i prefer war cry I choose Ignore Pain cause it gives me time to actually heal and gain back health. 6 seconds of 65% dmg ignorance and 6 seconds of 20% lifesteal plus your other lifesteal skills helps alot and couple this with frenzy. Its not all about having high hp anymore. You need to be able to maintain it. But feel free to experiment. I'm sure there's more than one way to hold off the fat yellow blue elites. |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ May 21 2012, 03:25 PM) I am disappoint. The barbarians in D3 are like sissies, running around kiting instead of being the true brawler they were born to be. Well sometimes you just need to play smart. If the poision aoe is around or the arcane laser is there. You have to kite abit to avoid dying. Its not like hit abit run hit abit run.Added on May 21, 2012, 3:32 pm QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ May 21 2012, 03:29 PM) I have always died to the tree poison. In all 3 difficulties. Normal, Nightmare and Hell. This post has been edited by fiqqyz: May 21 2012, 03:32 PM |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ May 21 2012, 03:34 PM) Those are avoidable damage. What about damage you cant avoid? The game was not built to be melee friendly. Imagine if you faced a group of berserkers, desert wasps, swift skull cleavers, colossal golgors or mallet lords. Even with high damage reduction, 1 of them is already tough, as they tend to one shot you, what more a group of them Yeah it seems tough right now. I don't disagree. But the game can be rebalanced. Its not the end of the world. The game has only been out for 1 week. There will be a way to beat it, we just don't know it yet. Until then, deal with it. Nobody said Hell/Inferno is gonna be easy, it isnt easy for the range either. Vortex the range and they're dead?Don't blame it on players, blame it on poor design. |

QUOTE(VinluV @ May 21 2012, 03:44 PM) dude. its play smart. Agreed.join a public game and go tank one of those champions or elites, you can literally feel the rape. Especially the arcane and illusion monsters. new definition of tanking in nightmare onwards is to take hits so others can run/heal. Added on May 21, 2012, 3:57 pm QUOTE(gaeria84 @ May 21 2012, 03:53 PM) Sounds very WoW-ish to me. And Blizz denied that they made a WoW clone. Instead of classes that are self-sufficient, we get tank, healer and dps classes. Great job blizz /sarcasm If thats the case. They should just make 1 character than can do it all. Would it be better then?Well, I play a wizard atm, and I find ranged classes have a much easier time in later difficulties. Vortex/mortar/wall/jailer can be outranged. You cannot avoid melee hits that one shot you Added on May 21, 2012, 4:07 pm QUOTE(gaeria84 @ May 21 2012, 03:53 PM) Sounds very WoW-ish to me. And Blizz denied that they made a WoW clone. You don't have to think so much. You just kite and dps. Barbs need to find a balance between str and vit. Cant just have all hp and no dmg or vice versa. It seems harder because most barbs (including myself) cant find the right build. Each character has to be played differently.Well, I play a wizard atm, and I find ranged classes have a much easier time in later difficulties. Vortex/mortar/wall/jailer can be outranged. QUOTE(gaeria84 @ May 21 2012, 04:13 PM) That's the point. You can either solo OR you can coop. Classes in D3 has to be all rounded so they can solo content on their own if they choose to. Not being forced to coop because your class cant solo. Blizzard already said you can solo the game. Don't let one death in the game stop you. You died and then don't just give up. Change up your skills. Get better items or get different items. Find another tactic. I literally changed my tactic so many times throughout Nightmare and Inferno. I will accept your statement once you have exhausted all the possible ways to adjust your character. Go Google or YouTube barbarians who are actually surviving inferno. |
