I would have join the "buyout" gang but sorry, I'm just too poor (don't even own 10K gold) at the moment.

kltower4,
I'm farming Sarkoth & a well or "perigi" that leads to a gold cave in Act 1 of Inferno mode with +84% Extra Gold from Monsters gears. [Edited several minutes later]; Perhaps, you can do the same but in Hell mode. This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Aug 13 2012, 12:28 PM |

I've managed to get pass Ghom this morning within 5 minutes equipped with a total combined LoH (968) from an axe (Hallowed Storm), amulet and a ring.
Of course, a shield (Hallowed Defender) and an increase to atk speed of 16% helps a lot too. The skills are usually activated in the order sequence as follow; War Cry, Battle Rage, Frenzy, Rend, Whirlwind & finally, WotB. The preferred choice of passive skills for my tanking barbarian are Tough as Nails, Superstition and Nerves of Steel. Other stats that may be of interest are str (1154), Vit (945), Armor (9465), Damage (15560.7) & AR (524). Note: Leap, Sprint, Ignore Pain and Overpower skill just do not give enough benefit or advantage to justify a permanent slot. QUOTE(Laine @ Aug 29 2012, 08:44 PM) i just completed act 1 in inferno. but i find that act 2 is totally unplayable.. anyone can give me some suggestions on what should i improve? My barbarian can do the Siegebreaker farming run in A3 and face tanking it without any hassle equipped with a total ~500 AR.i am thinking to farm for better gear in act 1.. coz i do not have a lot of golds to spend in AH... http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/WVVW-6299/hero/2024866 thank you.. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MOBAjob...6/hero/17251598 The core idea is to get an axe and a shield that can perform 30% block, 20% dodge from dex (500) and at least, 9000 or perhaps another 1000 more armor. Since only a weapon is dealing damage therefore, it must be at least 750+ dps and also, +20% atk speed combo with a minimum 900 LoH (I'm getting away with just 679 LoH by doing a bit of kiting here and there when stumble upon elites or champions with lethal and fatal affixes). Don't forget to top up at least 48K hp to ensure survivability as anything lower is asking for trouble. This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Aug 30 2012, 11:27 AM |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Aug 30 2012, 11:56 AM) OK.. after much consideration and deaths... My Barb finally let go his ego and use shield now I believe, axe is preferable to mace. Try to get a budget axe (700 to 725 dps with at least 500 LoH and open socket to put radiant square emerald gem for a start to farm better gears and weapons).Bump armor from 7k to 9k (with war cry buff). Better than nothing but still die Dps dropped from 32k to 27k This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Aug 30 2012, 12:10 PM |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Aug 30 2012, 12:34 PM) By the way, the shield that you should be using is the one that can do at least 25% Chance to Block or you can try first 20% Chance to Block for a start. Mine has a total of 31% Chance to Block to avoid being hit plenty of times. This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Aug 30 2012, 12:44 PM |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Aug 30 2012, 12:44 PM) So the shield is the ONLY item that can increase "chance to block" % ? A ring called Justice Lantern and also, the Helm of Command are a few items that can increase % Chance to Block while I think crafting is for the business or marketing minded people.Any other items that can boost this %? I curi this shield from my WD's templar and let the barb use cos of the strength actually. Not really a good one. I recently found a plan for Fine Exhalted Shield. U think I'll have better luck crafting myself? One thing for sure, the Helm of Command is prohibitively expensive while Justice Lantern does not give enough benefit or advantage to consider buying it. Anyway, the strategy is to obtain 30% Chance to Block and it's not worthwhile to sacrifice a ring slot to have more of it. This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Aug 30 2012, 01:01 PM |

I've completed Act IV (inferno) solo with an axe and a shield just now; the armor gears and weapons are nothing fancy. Finally, I can take a step back from Diablo 3 and live my real life from now onwards ...phew!

...and also, WW barb needs high critical hit chance at least 46% & critical hit damage at least 300% too.

QUOTE(sovietmah @ Sep 4 2012, 02:29 PM) Eventhough LoH < 1K with my barbarian own customised build, it's fearless and lead the group to engage any elite or champion pack in close quarters brawl as well as face tanking Diablo non-stop.This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Sep 4 2012, 02:47 PM |

QUOTE(sovietmah @ Sep 4 2012, 03:06 PM) Depends on the gears and weapons equipped, the strategy is to attain AR (~540 unbuff), block (33%), dodge (20%), IAS (34%), LoH (high 8++), LR (mid 8++), armor (low 1++++ warcry buff) and hp (48K).This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Sep 4 2012, 03:34 PM |

QUOTE(amiranna @ Sep 4 2012, 04:27 PM) if solo, no problem for act 3 and 4 without dying. but having some problem with co-op due to 21k dps. my full detail is here.. Well, your barbarian can be improved upon with a 12% movement speed boot ...that's for sure. http://www.diabloprogress.com/hero/amirann...69/Adam/4502359 [Edited a few minutes later]; The more crucial aspect is to boost your critical hit chance & damage but as you know, its quite expensive to do so. If I'm not mistaken (since I'm still working in the office and have no access to my home computer), my barb has ChC (~44%) & ChD (~175%) which contributes decently in the damage dealing area and does make an impact to kill off targets in co-op mode. QUOTE(fanworld @ Sep 6 2012, 12:06 PM) Can some body post a link to profile of barb build which can survive inferno solo on act 3 and act 4. I am getting cooked and cannot go beyond act 2 in solo. I'm trying to find my build which I've posted here, ...will update soon. The axe & shield strategy is to attain AR (~540 unbuff), block (33%), dodge (20%), IAS (34%), LoH (high 8++), LR (mid 8++), armor (low 1++++ warcry buff), hp (48K), CtC (44%) and CtD (175%). I usually start off with warcry & battle rage then frenzy (5x) followed by rend. WotB is for hacking elites and breaking out of being imprisoned whereas use whirlwind to move out of walled zone. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/MOBAjob...6/hero/17251598 This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Sep 6 2012, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(Penangnitesz @ Sep 6 2012, 12:40 PM) This is my barbarian now, i was using cleave with skorn and i can crit for 400k damage and 800k in wotb with insanity rune. Is it that you tried out WW with tornados using skorn? and the barb is already equipped with all the high end gears so, just 4 or 5 items need to be procured and it's WWonderland! No problem to solo act 3 and act 4 without dying if i use rend + cleave. Last night however, i tried out WW with tornados and i could clear siege beaker in < 6mins with all elites but sometimes i can die sometimes. My ice climbers doesnt have movement speed. Thinking of dropping it to get a boots with movement speed but low in gold now what do u think i can improve in my build further? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Corrosive-6672/ This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Sep 6 2012, 01:05 PM |

QUOTE(Penangnitesz @ Sep 6 2012, 01:13 PM) Thanks bro, i can die easily sometimes because i only have ~37k hp and my skorn dont have any loh or life steal. i am just depending on my belt for sustaining during ww. I've read somewhere that the ww barb can get by with 1900 LoH while 2400 LoH is comfortable which can be obtained from axe main hand and dagger off hand at least 8++ for both with open socket and perhaps, a LoH + CtC ring. 12% speed movement is mandatory. So, looks like 4 items to obtain as such would allow you to still equip the one and only Leoric's Signet otherwise let your follower use it, instead.i want to tweak my build a bit so that i can farm and lvl faster. cleave + rend is very reliable but slow compared to ww. thinking of swapping some of my gear to enhance the effectiveness of ww. So which piece do u all think i should change? Replace the passive skill that's Boon of Bul-Kathos with Superstition. This post has been edited by MOBAJOBG: Sep 6 2012, 01:35 PM |

How long (in hours) does your ww barb clear Act4 Inferno solo from start to finish? and thanks for sharing those key points. But lets talk about u demand pure ww tornado build from ur gear now... 1 need AR 1k buffed from wc 2 need dmg reduction 70% around buffed from wc 3 armor 7k around buffed 4 HP 40K above 5 c.chance 40%around buffed v BR 6 LoH 1800 minimum IF u had similar state of this gear u can go ww comfortable.. from mine opinion... QUOTE(Ricgatebecko @ Sep 10 2012, 04:54 PM) I'm very much with you~! Hack/slash classic I like~! Stormshield and Lacuni Prowlers for the win! By the way, what is the best gear that your barbarian has equipped?I'm happy with my farming duration bro, using shield @ 24% MS I think most barb use Enchantress? Or maybe templar using shield standing in town Agree... strength/chc in shield allows some DPS modifiers as off-hand. + I'm loving the survivability which increases your effective DPS in game Count me in bro... Wow interesting... My 1H+shield build barb with 90k dps... not even a room full with Fallen Maniac can kill me and there's nothing I can't kill atm. Hopefully there will be more barb with shield in the future. Welcome any barb who wanted to farm or have a look at 1H + shield farming efficiency My Battlenet profile |
