If I break down into raw stat conversion, ignoring life regen (which is also valuable)

Vile ward is 234 + 140 + (30 x 2) + 22 = 456 stat value

Victory Resilience is 158 + 71 + ((68+3) x 2) = 371 stat value

Vile ward is superior in effectiveness of Victory Resilience, in terms of both survivability and DPS.

IINM you can get a second roll of Resist All on the random property.

But you still got very high rolls of STR and VIT, so you really struck the lottery on this piece.

With gear becoming cheaper... it seems like DW or 2H is the best way to go now. 1H and shield getting a bit outdated

that's a common gearing mistake for people on a budget, you shouldn't look for ALL desired stats in one piece

if you do, it's really sexpensive

Like HaRuaN.X said, look for pieces that only has 1-2 stats you want, then recover those stats in other pieces.

The weapon on the left has BO of 2m and no bids, the one on the right is only 400k.

The one on the left seems expensive, but you save 300 stat points which means you have tons of freedom to go AR or crit on other pieces.

The one on the right is value for money.

You don't need AR for Hell. You don't even need much for Inferno Act 1.

The only thing you need for Hell is a cheap "reduced level requirement" weapon from AH.

TBH I'm not sure about take AR gears for hell hardcore too. Budget cost of AR is very expensive, you can't squeeze a lot of AR out of a ilvl 51 item.

Running through EHP calculator, you're still better off stacking VIT with nerves of steel because armor works against all damage types.

find a blue necklace with poison resist and 400 LOH

Weapon: change 1h weapon to a socketed 950+dps, put high level emerald

Glove: find a 6 crit % + 30% crit dmg ring

Shield: trade your shield for a 9% crit chance shield

Helm: Find a 3% crit chance helm

Bracer: get a bracer with 4% crit chance

LOH addiction: your dependency on LOH on weapon is holding you back. Shift some LOH stats to amulet and ring.

Aim for 30% crit chance and 300% crit dmg.
