Currently at lv47 nightmare act3
Still using dogs + gargantuan to play
somehow i'm using stun+chill+immobilize all stack up around 5%+ chances
acid rain dmg/sec, firebomb flash, dogs bite, gargantuan all attack together surprisingly give me a good impact of effect, almost permanently stun elite/champion, while others die easily under my acid rain with soul harvest.

my hp is just 5k, 1.6k dps, sacrifice my vit to put gold find, but survive quite well, my dogs as well, can sustain until my next cooldown. The moment i die is because of lag especially vortex who create lags very much

so i guess the key is use more disable effects in order to use dogs to fight

personally i think WD is the hardest but funniest class to play
unlike others run and shoot, clash and smash

lot different ways to play WD, really enjoying it although it took some hard times (die many times before realize how to play goof)

Basically this is the build:

Sometime i do change locust swarm into big bad vodoo to increase atk speed when face with strong single target (champion)

Working now, can't show you fully, this is my current stats, it is still very low compare others, i put a lot of gold find equipment (124%) and sacrify better vit/int equipment.
Stats:
Str 243
Dex 122
Int 690
Vit 295
HP 6714
Mana 732
Damage 1641
Armor 1500

2.2% chill
2.2% stun
1.2% immobilize
since the sum 5.6% of these effects already so great (just realize), will further explore in next equipment purchasing to further increase the sum effect especially focus on stun/freeze on hit, will can surely able extend our dogs a little

I think WD is the best most hits/sec class, where you can utilize chance on hit eq the max, i will explore it little more and see if works in hell/inferno.

Currently my build is quite safe and fun, when face with elites the flash bomb jump btw them and stun a lot, while facing champion i just run and wait pet stun it than only i attack. Oh ya, the lob lob acid rain also does contribute hits/sec.

Tactics:
Clear Mobs = Acid Rain + Flash bomb
Single Target = Locust Swarm/Whatever (maybe can replace locust swarm with fetish army)
Escape = I put soul harvest to gain life + potion, still can save my ass.
Boss Fight = The build doesn't work well on act boss, need to change some skills.

so far im lv51 and in hell act1
pretty cool to geared up 18%+ effects of chill,freeze,stun,immobilize,fear
most of the times it work like charm if you able to clear mobs asap, 15%+ effects with dogs and darts is simply too good =)
with 4 dogs and dart splinter/bomb, almost locked every single target elites/champion and even diablo/azmodan.
with vision quest, able to spam acid rain and make it as main disable skill to allow my 3 teammates kill and rush mush faster and easier.

but still do die when 2 group of elites and elites+champion come together

basically how you guys take on elites on hell mode?
no chance to spam my skills at all, keep on running with SW, i started to feel movement % on boot is very important
some i cant kill at all,
some i died N times before I successfully killed them like mortar,freeze,and so on.

my build is zombie bear, acid rain, sw, sh, hex, gargantuan
in nightmare, my massive debuff equipment (chill/slow/immobilize/stun/freeze) do very handsome with acid rain on nightmare mode, but hell not, the effect is like 1/4 of normal duration only.

while act bosses have no issue, lv56 at act 2 currently

the best of 1H + mojo, is the mana regenand some stats boost, where more mana regen you can spam any skills infinitely with VQ
it is good to go with 1H + mojo if your 1H weapon is 1k+

get a weapon which life on hit 900+, activate VQ + mana restore BBV
if ur dps 15k with some critical, during the BBV 20sec keep spamming acid rain u will be godlike for 20s and open room for ur teammate to take down or almost 1 from them.
but when u meet frozen, don't do that, just spam and run

not applicable in inferno act2, since the recover rate unable match with dmg taken rate

just sharing 1 of my founded build:
if you like playing in co-op mode, my current acid rain + 4.9% freeze + 4.5% stun
with using VQ buff, 1H+mojo with mana regen ~20 or +vodoo mask

you can always almost stun+freeze everything on the screen, including butcher who totally stucked under my acid rain, if not the fire could almost lock him until die

just introduce this fun way to play, requirement are:
high mana regen (is better to have 3 gears)
high stun/freeze(primary) and other effects if you like (slow/chill is better)
high atk speed (i think 1 acid rain around 5-10 hits straight, 1 sec you spam 2 and imagine)
high life on hit (is better if you wish to tank, in inferno is better have at least 800+)

but solo mode especially in act2 is kite fest and you need run around and not so practical, but it is a very good debuffer build in co-op mode.

skill builds:
1) acid splinter + acid rain
2) spirit walk(escape if u stuck) + hex(anti charge) + mass confusion(anti gank) +*BBV (atk dmg for ur team)
3) *jungle fortitude + *bad medicine + *vision quest
*optional, depend on your resource, i do change sometime, spirit attenuation works good as well but less spamable

trust me, it is very fun, especially if u hv life on hit you can be tanker(act1) + debuffer,
going to act2, need more def/res & move speed development
the key here is to abuse and fully utilize the good hits/second acid rain

it will make the whole elites pack fight fairy easy especially in act1 & kinda in act2 if the affixes is not vortex/tele/shield/inv minion where u can kite around and have a good dps-er in ur team

may i know your level or stage progress? solo or co-op?

normal + nightmare + hell
need good sum % effects (freeze+stun+immobilize+chill+slow = 15%+)
armor doesn't matter as long as you have 300-500 life on hits
mana regen not need so high, as it is much easier to put cc effect on mobs on normal/nightmare/hell, no need spam like no tomorrow in inferno

so, oh ya answer your question:
you should aim to change ur armor 1 by 1 and see the effect, actually 10% already sufficient in normal/nightmare/hell

equipment available effect:
weapon/mojo - all effects
*boot - immobilize
helm - fear
*belt - freeze
*gloves - stun
bracers - knockback
*shoulders - chill
*pants - slow

*this 5 pieces armor you can start with

Added on May 31, 2012, 11:10 ampersonally i like this build, it is what should i have expected from WD -
mainly debuff enemies and buff teammate to lead victory, while i'm being secondary dps-er during debuffing enemies

in solo mode, i feel like being a chicken run and doesn't enjoy the playstyle
with patient i did pass few quests my own but no patient to play like that and also doesn't earn a lot (repair-potion), everyday only 1-2 hours to play

honestly this build is very item dependent, and it is hard to find good items with such effects on market, but the reward is very interesting gameplay instead of being glass cannon, team with high dps barb/wiz/dh it will very effective build, every1 will like you

so, must be patient to search market and buy the 1 that really really good and afforable
e.g: int+all resist
give up on stun/freeze on weapon, get the high dps weapon
stun/freeze let the belt/glove do the job, lv60 should hv 4+%

was solo in inferno act2 last night till zotun kulle cave, die 9999999 times always met with weird elites/combo, the cave find the zotun kulle blood crash up with 6 elites/champ in level1
dps 22k, resistance ~400, hp 30k, armor 2500

damn, have to skip 95% of elites/champions
almost all of them simply cant be kited, teleport, vortex, shield and walking fast nature
all champion i met all have horde + invulnerable minion O.o wtf
sometime when i kite around and end up crash with other elites
in cave, i straight skip all, cant kite at all

end up i direct skip all elites/champions in act2, i think the best is still farm gold in act1 and gear-up

in act 2, to kill belial ur dps must be around 30k
your weapon dmg should be also around 850-900, because previously i use 720+ dmg but 30k dps (due to speed), but i found my skill dmg unable to kill those salamander very well and in phase-2 my fetish army as well cant take down belial to 20% hp. (always 23-25%)

for the rest of stage rushing, never expect you can kill elites, except they walk slow and with certain safety affixes, + a cleared large area for u to kiting

if you really wan to hunt elites/champ, then i tell you the best place is either assasin vault or the map before khasim post, just lure them to another platform and u just shoot from a safe point where they cant hit you. (it's cheap! but it works)

yalor, out of 10 games, 7 games are DH & WZ only
the left 3 games, 2 are monks that cant tank
maybe out of 1 only you can find a barb/monk that can tank very well
