Added on June 18, 2012, 4:19 pmguys, im farming inferno butcher with 23k dps + 200-300 resists, 1644 dex, 5k armor, 21k hp lol. i dont think you need absurd stats to farm him so long you know how to time/position correctly. my farming runs are a little slow due to lack of dps, but it still clocks 40mins-1hour. (imprisoned angel quest > leoric manor waypoint, get 5NV > warden > butcher)
ps: enchantress is <3 shes at 3.5k dps now lol. (2k int and 850dps weapon)
After a TON of headache and frustration killing, or (mostly) getting killed by elites, finally ... OH YEAH!
Some of the elites were actually quite OK. Like this pack with harmless affixes that I just stood there tanking from full health to zero.
But mostly the elites were just so f*cking annoying. I'm all for a challenge, but when an elite fly swarm hits you (normal hits) for 8k each, vortexes you in the middle of a couple of arcane enchant swirlies, AND jails you there, it just makes you go like DAFUQ, why don't you just give an "instant kill" skill to your elites, blizzard?!?

That solely depends on how much $ you have. Those high armor gear definitely cost a bomb regardless if it is with good stats or sucky stats. those with high dex (200++) are skyrocketing. Those +resist all +resist (something) is still not too bad. some are cheap.
I am still on pure monk, still ok ok act 1 inferno. Dunno when I should switch to 1kdps+3kblock palamonk later...

health armor resist all damage etc
at the time of kill, i am on my resistance/MoH tank build (i now have TWO tank builds since the situation demands for it):
around 35k hp 6-7k armor 950 resist all 5.5k dps
obviously i didnt solo him (which i could if i feel like spending half an hour/an hour on him since he cant really kill me, and there's no enrage timer [yet]) and got a DH friend around 50k dps with SS to help on dps. (i mainly coop, hardly solo lol)
the fight lasted for 3 black thingy waves, if she solo, she only face 2 waves. granted, 115% hp additional for 2man azmodan = 15mil azmodan hp. solo is maybe 6-8mil. fun fact: diablo inferno solo is around 14mil hp, 2 man coop already exceeds that
