Saw BF3 going for USD25 in HK Origin store. And the BF3 Premium for USD50.

I assume the BF3 Premium does not come with the original game and you need to buy both BF3 game for USD25 as well as Premium USD50 to enjoy full benefits.

Am I right?

Premium is like... All-in-one package. 50$ 1 lump sum and you get all the current DLC and upcoming items and DLCs. The game is not included (you can always buy Russian key and do the stuffs to convert it to English)

Thanks. Now is only Rm77+ after converting from SGD. So gonna buy from the origin website for the BF3 which comes with specialty dogtags and skins for MP. I'm still thinking whether to buy the Premium.

Yup, just made my purchase of the normal BF3 on Origin.

Now gonna think about the Premium.

Although this is the 1st time I used Origin, my Email is already registered under their system because I play BC2 purchased through Steam.

I can't figure out how to buy single dlc, does any store selling single DLC? I can't buy from origin since no credit card or paypal funds.

I think they new DLCs are not sold separately. Only Back to Karkand is sold separately. Close Quarters not yet for sale individually yet.

They (Origin & EA) want you to buy the Premium, its like paying for all current and future expansions.

Anyone got ideas how to speed up my map load times.

Everytime my loads, everyone already started moving and in some cases start capturing points already.

I don't know maybe it's my system too slow or something but I'm taking like more than 1 minute of map loading before it actually starts the game.

Using a AMD 640 (quad core)
ATI 5750
4 GB of rams

Not sure which of it is the problem, is it my GPU, CPU or RAMs?

Premium worth it or not?

Seems like paying a full game price for 4 maps at a time on Multiplayer.

Seems we have to pay for maps and also pay in advance for maps we don't know will be nice or not.

Haiz, now currently playing vanilla so not yet bored because playing less than 1 week. I wonder how I feel later though.

I saw Close Quarters, looks good. But I feel like not worth because like buying a completely new game for maps... But at least I have not the B2K DLC so buying Premium will get me B2K and also CQ for now.

Don't know what AK, AM and EG DLC is about though.

Recently started on the Recon class, really blur on what kind of role I play in the field.

Previously I played BC2, the recon/sniper can call mortar strikes and also be a offensive C4 attacker, dropping motion sensors and ultimately scouting and sniping.

Now playing BF3 version, I got so far a motion detector and a spawn point. Gonna get the Soflam later.

Any tips how to be a good addition to the team? Don't really know how to fit in a team other than stay somewhere high and shoot. Spawn locations normally I just drop it somewhere near a conquest point so can spawn safely nearby if taken by enemy or as a forward spawn point near the line of defence/offence.

Motion sensors are also in my opinion nerfed as you can't throw it far to detect enemy movements but rather place it somewhere like an entrance or location of interest. Normally I placed it where I think the team needs to monitor activity like an entrance to a hall/room etc.

Using the SKS now, already unlocked the suppressor. Close range snipers are useless without the suppressors. Spotted too fast after each shot.

So any advice?

Note: Currently level 40, Service star 1 on all other classes. Vanilla BF3. Not a flyboy.

Try to rely on your secondary weapon
SKS is a good rifle but in short range of 50m
you might need some luck as the gun recoil in my opinion is no far different then M1 Garand
*
Yeah at long ranges can see the recoil are bad, especially since this gun needs a few shots to kill the target. Most targets start moving away the moment they get hit unless they are new and stay put. Long ranges are almost impossible unless the target already low health and 1 or 2 connected shots kills the target.

Medium ranges are great especially if you are on the same level as your target like when they are running towards you or their back facing you. But for 21 bullets semi auto, its fantastic as a short range weapon, I normally don't aim and spam bullets if I happen to drop into another enemy and we are like side by side.

Question the same, are recons stucked to just sniping from incredible ranges? Doesn't seem to help gain much points or capping any objectives.
